Eda was blindly walking ahead. She couldn't see or hear anything. She waited for her dream to end and to wake up from this nightmare because it was too much to be real. It was impossible.

She still could hear the words of Admiral Ozan and Commander Uzun resonating in her ears, coming and going to her like from a broken radio.

We suspect your father was murdered.

It was sabotage.

Have you seen anything suspicious happening around LieutenantBolat?

Serkan can be next.

Serkan... Eda took a sharp intake of a breath, and a strangled sob left her throat. She stopped abruptly and squatted down, embracing herself and hiding her face in her knees. She couldn't bear it anymore. It was too much for one person to feel.

Never in her life had she needed Serkan more than now. She needed the solace she only ever found in his safe arms. She needed to disappear in his embrace and cry everything out until it wouldn't hurt so much anymore. She needed to feel his caresses and strokes.

She knew he would help her. Listen to her, hug her, share the warmth of his body to relax her. He would smile at her, make her laugh with one of his silly comments, then make a funny face at her, and she would smile again. He would wipe her tears, and his peaceful presence alone would take all her worries away.

But she couldn't have him anymore. She lost him, and he was lying still in the hospital bed, kept alive by the help of many wires connected to his body. He was the one who needed help.

Eda wanted to go to Serkan, to be there for him as she should've always been. She should have never doubted him, abandoned him, broke his heart. At least he would know she cared for him, and maybe it would make him feel better, but she disappointed him. Now, all her remorses were a tad too late.

What if when he wakes up, he will tell her he doesn't want her apologies and they are through? Exactly how she told him? What if he won't wake up at all?

Eda wanted to stand up and ran to Serkan to hold onto him, not to allow him to ever leave her, but her legs refused to listen to her. A huge rock pushing on her lungs only got bigger and pressed her down to the ground, not letting her move.

She wanted to take a deep breath, but there was no oxygen in the air she was trying to breathe in, and the sole action was painful. She didn't know if it ever hurt so badly. Not after her brother's death, her father's funeral, and the imaginary Serkan's betrayal. Now everything combined in one and crushed her down.

"Eda, are you all right?" A concerned voice gathered her attention, and she felt a hand on her shoulder. "Did something happen? It's Serkan? Tell me what happened?!"

Eda wanted to look at her friend's face but couldn't move. She only managed to utter. "It's classified. I can't tell anyone. And I'm not all right."

"Oh, Eda." Ceren knelt in front of her, pulling her into a tight hug, while Eda burst into tears, still hugging herself.

"It won't be all right." She let out between cries, which were shaking her frame. "It won't."

"It will be." The blonde was trying to soothe her in a soft voice, stroking her back. "Serkan will be fine."

"He won't!" Eda exclaimed, gasping for air. "He's in danger. He can die!"

"Don't say it." Ceren said, wanting to pull her up, but Eda resisted, sitting on the ground and starting to rock herself back and forth with her face pressed to her knees.
