Eda woke up as usual at five in the morning and reached for her phone to see a text, which just come from Serkan.

Are you up?

She didn't even manage to reply when another one appeared on her screen.

I'm waiting outside by the pool.

Eda slowly turned in the bed to check on Elif, but the girl was deeply asleep, snoring while lying on her back with her arms spread wide over her head. She didn't even stir when Eda rolled off the bed and crawled on the floor toward the door.

Five seconds later, Eda was already outside, running through the corridors toward the backdoor to the garden. It was too early for anybody to see her, even house staff or the wedding planning team.

Eda sneaked out through the French doors and smiled brightly at the sight of her soon-to-be husband waiting for her impatiently, dressed in his pajama, over which he threw a dark grey bathrobe.

She ran toward him, and when he turned in her direction, he managed to open his arms just in time to catch her as she jumped at him. He hoisted her up, helping her wrap her legs around his hips, and kissed her hard.

"I missed you, baby." Serkan said with a smile before kissing her again.

"Me too." Eda answered, but her teeth chattered. She didn't expect it to be so cold and now was freezing in her light, short pajama set.

Serkan sat with her at the edge of the pool and wrapped his robe around her, pulling her close to his chest, and Eda looked at him with gratitude. All those little everyday gestures were only making her fall in love with him more.

"I can't believe your mom made us spend a night before the wedding apart." She said with a small snort. "As if she doesn't know what we did in your room my first night here."

"I hope she doesn't. No one mentioned my broken bed so far, so I'm safe to say they didn't check it yet." Serkan grinned. "But Mom chose the wrong guard. Elif sleeps like a log."

"She does." Eda giggled and cupped Serkan's cheeks to kiss him again. She couldn't bear even a second without him, she missed him so much.

They kissed slowly and sensually, taking in each other's closeness. When they pulled back, Eda smiled with a dreamy expression on her face and brushed Serkan's nose with hers.

"Since I've met you, my life turned upside down." She said in a quiet voice.

"I know." Serkan's eyes sparkled. "It all happened fast, but I'm sure of us as I was never of anything in my life."

"Me too." Eda whispered, pressing her face to her favorite spot on Serkan's chest, just above his heart.

"You came and added color to my boring life."

"I added a drama." She smirked.

"That too." Serkan chuckled. "Since I've met you, I was almost drowned, blown up, crushed with the stones, cooked in the fire, and stabbed."

Eda picked up her head to look at him with her mouth open. "You were supposed to say no!"

"Not my style." Serkan burst into laughter, dodging her hand that almost hit the side of his head.

Eda wanted to avert her head theatrically and sit with her arms crossed on her chest to show him how offended she was, but the moment she moved, her head spun, her stomach turned, and she felt as sick as never before. The only thing she was able to do, not to throw up on her knees, was to lean over the pool and  let the content of her stomach to end up there.
