Everything fell off Eda's hands as she watched the broken box on the floor. She quickly bent down, picked it up, and looked at its content with her mouth open.

The door clicked, and Serkan walked from the bathroom, wearing only a towel around his hips and drying his hair with another one.

"Serkan?" Eda uttered, looking at him still in shock, holding in her open palm a box with a big, pink diamond ring in the shape of a flower.

It was such a beautiful ring. Eda had never seen a ring like this before, and even if she didn't pay too much attention to jewelry, this ring was something else, somthing she would dream of having.

Serkan saw the box on her hand. He halted in his tracks, and a slightly grimace of disappointment ran through his face but was quickly replaced by a small, apologetic smile.

Eda stood still in her place, watching him speechless as he slowly approached her. Suddenly, it all made sense to her. Serkan's recent nervousness, so uncharacteristic for him, plans for a date, secretiveness, hiding. He was going to propose, and she was so stupid that she thought he was withdrawing from her.

"Well, there are not too many nice places around us anyway, so I may as well to do this here." He stopped in front of her, taking the box with the ring from her hand. His usual smug smile was back on his handsome face while Eda couldn't regain her ability to speak.

Serkan knelt on one knee, taking her right hand, and smiled. His eyes assumed a tender expression that was reserved only for her.

"Eda Yildiz, the embodiment of all of dreams, my star, will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?"

Eda's eyes filled with tears as a mixture of different feelings exploded in her heart, warmth, adoration, devotion, but also guilt and remorse, but most of all love, deep, true, one-in-the-million love. She was so overwhelmed with happiness that she could barely utter a word.

"Yes." She whispered almost inaudibly as Serkan stood up.

"Yes?" He asked, putting the ring on her finger.

"Yes!" Eda exclaimed, launching at his neck.

"Thanks God." Serkan chuckled slightly. "Because I didn't hear you."

"Serkan!" She cried into his neck, so happy that she couldn't help but sob.

"You said it so quietly."

Eda pulled slightly away to look at Serkan's face. His eyes were sparkling, and she could see her reflection in them.

"Yes, I will marry you. I can't wait to be your wife." She said with a smile so wide that her cheeks started to hurt. "I couldn't dream of marrying anyone else but you."

"That's the answer I like." Serkan cupped her cheeks and pulled her for a passionate kiss that took her breath away.

Eda breathed heavier against his lips, still couldn't believe in what just happened. One moment, she was doubting her relationship and Serkan's love for her, the second after, she was engaged and getting married to him. Guilt came back to her in full swing, and she started to cry again.

"Baby, what happened?" Serkan asked, looking at her with worry.

He started to kiss the tears off her cheeks, which made her only cry more because he was too perfect. How could he be even real and want to be with her?

"I'm sorry." She sobbed, tears running down her face in a double speed. "I'm just so happy."

Serkan pulled her into his tight embrace, and Eda pressed her face into a crook of his neck. She inhaled deeply the scent she loved so much. Her heart was beating so fast that she was afraid it would burst out of her chest, and her stomach was somersaulting every time she thought about Serkan as her future husband.
