"Serkan!" Eda screamed, jumping onto her feet and running toward the closed gate. "Serkan, are you there!"

She was about to reach the gate and bang on it when a voice halted her in her tracks, and she exhaled with relief.

"Don't touch the gate!" Serkan shouted from the other side. "You can get burned!"

Eda looked frantically around the gate and its frame, searching for a way to get inside but she couldn't find any. She heard the coughs coming from the warehouse, and she kicked the door in anger and desperation.

"Are you all right?!" She asked, now checking her surroundings if there weren't any hard objects left there that she could use.

"Yes!" Serkan's voice came out muffled as if he covered his mouth with a cloth. "Get away from the gate! I will try to shoot the lock!"

"Ok." Eda answered in a shaking voice and quickly increased the distance between her and the building, hiding behind one of the left outside containers.

She heard two shots and a curse. She didn't even have to ask to know that it didn't bring any result. Eda ran back toward the gate, biting her bottom lips nervously. She was trying to stay calm, but she was terrified.

"Eda!" Serkan called her again, and she came even closer to hear him better. "Go to the car, take my phone, and send the signal to my dad! He put a tracker on my phone! Take the car and drive to the base!"

"No!" She screamed in protest.

"It's too dangerous! I'll be fine! Go right now!"

"I'm not leaving you!" Eda shouted but turned toward the car. "I will send the location, but I will try to ram through the gate!"

"Are you crazy?! You can get hurt!" Serkan yelled, but she didn't listen to him.

She was already at the back of the car, searching her pockets for car keys to open the trunk, where she knew Serkan kept spare guns.

"Don't you even think about doing that!"

Eda ignored his shouts and pulled out the car keys. Her hands were shaking, so she used the button to open the car. The moment she pressed on it, she was knocked off her feet by the explosion and fell onto the ground on her side, but in the last moment, she protected her head with her hand, hitting her already hurting elbow.

The blow made her dizzy for a couple of seconds, but she managed to pull herself up, ignoring the sharp pain in her wrist, but something else caught her attention and she screamed out loud, feeling the smell of fire and burned fabric too close to her.

Her eyes widened in horror and she immediately rolled onto her back onto the concrete pavement trying to simultaneously extinguish a fire that caught onto the back of her scrubs and rip the bouse of her body.

She was lucky it was button-up scrubs, so she didn't have too much trouble to take it off. She kicked it away and crawled to the side of the car just a second before she heard shots, and she ducked down.

Eda let out a stream of profanities, almost starting to cry. She was helpless, unarmed, without any connection as her and Serkan's phones stayed in the car, which was now destroyed. She had no means to defend herself and help Serkan, and right now, someone was shooting at her like she was a sitting duck.

Eda looked around, trying to find any way out. She couldn't risk checking the sniper's position because he would shoot her immediately and the fire was blocking her view. She needed to get into that warehouse and needed to do it now. With every passing second, her chances to get out of this alive were getting slimmer and slimmer.
