*Next week, Emma's POV*

Today is the day we're going to watch that broadway show. It's isn't a musical, it's a play. That's the only info I could drag out of Riley's teacher.

I was wearing a white blouse tucked into my black dress pants. Riley wanted to match me so she's wearing the same thing. Some buttons were open of my blouse though, but I'm not gonna do that to Riley.

We both have a high pony tail in our hair. But I have some make up though, Riley is still too young for that.

Riley is in her 'matching with Mommy' era and I'm loving it. I've always dreamed of matching with my daughter and now it's happening. I remember when Riley was born and we found out she was a girl Chris cried because he couldn't wait to buy us matching clothes.

But now he's missing that phase.

The play started at eight and ends at around ten. I bribed Sebastian into baby sitting, luckily he said yes. He's Matthew's godfather and he takes that role very seriously. With that I mean that he watched The Godfather every week of my pregnancy.

I hope he didn't get any ideas from it.

Riley was sitting with a couple of her friends in the bus. I'm sitting next to Rachel, she's Layla's mother. Layla is Riley's best friend.

"I hope we're going to that one show, what's it called again? Lobby Hero I think." She says, smiling at me.

"Sounds like a nice play. I have seen most plays already, my ex and I are big theater kids. We lived in New York for a couple of years and we would go to a lot of shows."

"You would love it."

We arrive at the theater and sit down. No Playbill book thingy. We have to just figure it out ourselves.

Riley and her friends were sitting one row infront of us. I was sitting in the middle next to Rachel and Liz. Liz is Hunter's mom.

Hunter has a massive crush on Riley ever since Riley started school here. It's adorable to see him swoon over my daughter.

The lights were cut off and the play started. After a few minutes a guy with a mustache and a spiked up hair cut walked on stage.

Riley turned around, looking shocked and unsure at the same time. I just nodded at her, confirming what just happend.

This is Chris's damn play.

I should've known that it could've been his play because he told me he would go on Broadway.

Halfway through the play Chris spotted us. The moment we locked eyes a small smile formed on his face.

He's doing well so far, he broke character once though when he let out a chuckle. That was a real chuckle, not a fake one. I know the differences by now.

His accent was very weird, I think it was a New York accent. It sounds weird coming out of his mouth. I'm used to his Boston accent.

Chris and I would talk in our Boston accents around the apartment that we shared with Ryan. Ry would always complain about it because he couldn't understand it. Chris always just rolled his eyes at those comments. After Ryan kept complaining we kind of stopped.

He's on stage with Michael Cera, great guy. They shot a movie together in 2009 called Scott Pilgrim. Michael is a great dude and everyone who meets him loves to hang out with him. I have proof of that.

Little later the play ended. Riley's teacher all handed us a VIP pass, god no. We have to go backstage to 'meet' the cast. Well I'm gonna meet Bel and Brian for the first time.
