So, just to remind you. This chapter will explain all of Malia's past and how she became what she is today. It might take a few chapters though. Or just a fucking long one.

Sunshine beamed on the small girl's face as she laid in the grass. Her yellow eyes stared at the clouds. She was different from all the other sand village kids. She had a weird power that allowed her to have sand inside her body at all times. It was like her whole body was a sandcastle. Though, it didn't help when it came to making friends. But she didn't mind. She had her mom, her brother, her sister. She didn't need other kids to make her happy. The girl inhaled the smell of the grass before she heard her named being called. Her small body sat up to see a weird colored hair popping over the hill. She smiled big noticing it had been her big brother, Hetako.
"Malia.. You're too fast for me." He huffed, bending over with his hands on his knees. He was right. She was too fast for him. It took him an hour to find her. She giggled, as he smiled at her. He looked nothing like her. His hair had blonde tips and his eyes were a hazel green. In fact, no one in her family looked like her. They had no idea where her looks came from. Her yellow eyes were what made her stand out the most. Hetako groaned in pain, sitting next to his little sister. "How do you have so much energy?"
"Because I'm little and your big." Was her excuse. She giggled, hugging him tight as he lifted her onto his lap. Nodding slightly, he moved the hair out of her face. "Hetako, where are daddy and mommy? And sissy?" At the moment, it was just Hetako and her. Their parents had left for a mission and their sister was in the anbu black obs, therefore she was rarely home. He sighed, looking at the sad girl.
"Listen, they're all okay. Let's go home, I'll cook salmon." He smiled, reassuringly as she nodded fast.
"Okay!" She hugged him as he stood, holding her to him as he walked down the hill to a small house that peered over the lake. It was small, but it fit everyone. Even their sister had her own room. Malia didn't need one. She was used to sleeping with her brother considering the night terrors she had every night. Once insides, Hetako set her down. Taking his shoes off and stepping up onto the hardwood floor. He sighed at the coolness. It was nice at night. The water and wind blew cool winds into the house to help with the summer weather, but it was freezing during the winter.
Malia did the same as her brother. Running over to what looked like a shrine to an old man. She smiled, putting her hands together and bowing her head. "We miss you grandpa, please. Make sure daddy and mommy make it home safe. Even Grinka. If you can hear me. Make sure they are safe." She lifted her head before staring at a man who looked like Hetako but a lot older. She looked down. Her grandfather was the one that taught her any jutsu and told her that she could be a ninja, all she had to do was work hard and be herself. That's what she did.
Hetako smiled at the small girl before going to the kitchen to make salmon. As he did so, she climbed onto her chair and smiled wide.
"I'm gonna be hokage one day! I'll show them even if I seem like a monster, I'm not!" Malia had big dreams, she always did. But her dreams were cut short when they heard a slam through their door. Hetako grabbed her, putting her under the island which had a secret compartment that was empty except for a few bags of chips. He smiled at her before kissing her forehead.
"Shh, stay here. I'll be back." He put the curtain down, so they wouldn't see her. He got his kunai out, pushing himself up against a wall as the intruders came in. Before he could swing he was on the floor, blood pouring out of his stomach and arm. Malia saw him through the small crack in the curtain. Tears running down her face, her hand covering her mouth. 'Bubba..' She whimpered as he looked her way. He smiled once more before she heard a loud laugh. There was no weapon going into his body but he was screaming in pain.
"That's enough, where is she." A dark voice said. Malia whimpered more, pushing herself into the island. "Where's Malia." He said once more, making her cringe. She didn't want him to say her name. Soon the curtain swung open.
"Oh, and who the fuck is this?" A teenaged boy, who had to be around 19 was staring at her, blood dripping from his mouth.
"Leave her, I doubt she is the one. We were told she was a power ninja. She is just a child." The green eyed man said, staring at the young girl, curled up in the corner of the space.
"What the fuck ever. Listen kid, you saw fucking nothing. We're lucky you don't fucking know our names." The teen laughed, his skin was black and white. A black stitched line crossed his neck. "Don't be scared. The old fuck over there said it was pointless to sacrifice you to lord Jashin. So be grateful."

As soon as they left, Malia crawled out of the space. Her eyes landed on what was left of her brother. His eyes were wide open, so was his mouth. The tears couldn't be kept back. The small girl was sitting in her brother's blood. What was she supposed to do? Look happy? She grabbed his headband from his hand. Looking at it. Ninja of the village hidden in the sand huh? She grumbled. "Then I'll be one too.." She put the headband around her arm, looking at her brother. Her small hands forcing his eyes and mouth closed.

One down... Three to go.
