Aaliyah walked in gym completely tired. She had choir practice earlier at 7 when school started at 8:30, and she fell asleep at 1 to have to wake up at 5:30.
She saw Jalil talking to a group of girls, she would've had went and say hi but the group of girls are the same ones who start problems for fun.
Once Jalil laid eyes on the girl, he forgot about with his conversation with the other girls and jogged over to her.
"hi liyah" he greeted her, leaning down and wrapping his arms around her waist "hey jah, how'd you sleep" she asked.
"fine, i came to the conclusion your bed better than mine" he smiled "word? you should sleepover again, next time we should do an all nighter" she suggested
"that sounds valid, just let me know when" he nodded, she smiled and looked around the gym. She peeped the girls giving her dirty looks but she didn't say anything.
He then walked back to his group of friends and began to play basketball. Aaliyah just zoned off starting at the floor, she didn't realize the group of girls walking to her until one of them tapped her while the other 4 giggled.
"yo?" the girl said "oh- hi" Aaliyah said nervously, hoping the girl isn't trying to start problems. "you tryna mess wit ma man?" she sassed, her thick new york accent revealing.
Aaliyah froze for a second trying to figure out who her man was "hello? is you deaf?" she raised her voice startling Aaliyah causing her to flinch, all the girls laughed again.
"i dont know who your man is" "but you huggin up on him?" the girl popped her head out. Aaliyah's brows furrowed.
She couldn't be talking about Jalil, Jalil always complains about wanting and needing a girlfriend, there's no way he already had one.
"now you actin dumb, u a fuckin hoe" she began yelling, "i don't know who you're talking about, i swear"
"Jalil, my nigga. the fuck" she talked with her hands. Aaliyah stared out to Jalil who had just fell and made an 'And1.' He didn't see anything that was going on, she was hoping he did but he was too focused.
