~~Your Pov~~
"Y/N," Slender breathes in delight when you open your eyes.
You just look at him a moment. Your head feels all fuzzy and your throat is on fire. What time is it?
"Slender," You say before pausing when your voice cracks on you.
"Here," He says, offering you a cup of something hot.
You accept it, sighing in relief as it coats your parched mouth but also eases some of the pain in your throat. It's just simple hot water. You're a little confused there, but maybe that's how Slender grew up? Just plain water for when you're sick. You sit for a minute and sip the water until your throat has gone numb from the heat, handing Slender back the cup and pushing yourself up. You grunt in pain as your arms give out on you, accepting Slender's help to sit up.
"What time is it?" You ask him, nodding when he says it's nearly dinner time. You really don't feel up to cooking tonight. You promised Slender you would, but you're just not up to it.
"Y/N, what's the date?" He asks, confusing you.
"What? I'm not sure. We got back home like three days ago from our little vacation." You tell him. "Why?"
"Y/N, it's been three weeks since then," He explains.
Your entire body freezes at his words, looking at him with wide eyes. What is he even talking about?! You two just got back.
"Very funny," You tell him, pausing as you take in more of your surroundings. You're hooked up to IVs and you can feel some sort of tube going through your nose and down your throat. Beside Slender are the bags you're hooked up to. One looking like hydrating liquids and the other looking like some kind milky red and white substance. You really have been out for a while haven't you? "Did I get into an accident or something?"
"You just got really sick," Slender explains gently. "You had a high fever for practically two weeks that we couldn't break. Had to ask Lucifer for help."
"He didn't do much to help then if I've still been out even after the fever broke," You try joking, grimacing at Slender's frown. "Sorry. I'm grateful for his help."
"He can't do anything because.....," Slender trails off, going quiet.
"Because?" You ask him. "Slender, what in the world is going on? Why did I even get sick?"
"Has it ever happened before?" Slender asks.
"Yeah, once. It was when I got pregnant with Sally. I got super sick the first three weeks. I wanted to do nothing but sleep. Fortunately, my doctor realized how sick I was at the time and got me admitted. I might have died and Sally definitely would have had he not used a feeding tube when I couldn't eat." You explain to him, rubbing your temples in hopes of relieving the headache you have pounding in your head.
"Y/N?" Slender presses.
This causes you to pause a moment as you think over what you had just said. You lower your hands, looking at the IVs in your arm, to the bags of liquid, and finally to Slender, your eyes widening.
"You're kidding," You breathe, tears filling your eyes as you smile. "Holy shit."
"We likely could have avoided this whole illness had we figured it out sooner. The baby is half mine and we all have preferences on body parts. You eating bones satisfied your nutrient need but....," He trails off.
"I wasn't giving the baby the nutrients they need," You chuckle. "Are you sure Sally isn't somehow yours biologically? Do you know how much meat I craved with her?"
