~~Your Pov~~
"MOM!" Everyone shouts with a grin when you and Slender finally get home.
"Let us see the ring!" Splendor cheers as he comes over to you.
"So much for the surprise," You can't help but laugh.
"They all knew," Slender whispers before leaving you to show off your ring to the crowd.
"YOU ALL KNEW?!" You demand with a dropped jaw.
"Daddy may be your soulmate, but he still needed our permission," Sally chirps with a grin when you hug her. "It's so pretty!"
"Not bad Slender," Trender remarks as he examines the ring on your hand. "You do realize I'm designing the entire wedding?"
"You may have input and help bring everything to life," You huff at him with a grin. "It's my wedding. Not yours."
"Fine. Fine," Trender huffs despite his mouth free to give you a grin, a smile coming to your lips. Trender doesn't openly smile like this often, it feels nice.
"How many hours do you think we'll spend on the dress," You laugh.
"I hope you're ready to get sick of my face because we'll be spending weeks on it!" He chirps.
"I wanna help!" Mary insists as she and Jane come to you to examine the ring.
Once everyone is dispersed and settled after seeing the ring and hugging you, you head upstairs to begin unpacking your suitcase. You hum softly as you organize your suitcase, your eyes widening when a sudden wave of nausea overtakes you. You rush to the bathroom and get sick, wiping and rinsing your mouth when you're done. What the hell?
"You okay?" Slender asks, checking in on you.
"Yeah. I think the excitement and nerves got to me," You hum softly, feeling fine again. "That was weird. I hope I'm not getting sick."
"Let's hope it's just nerves," He says, gently rubbing your back.
"Probably," You nod to him.
"At least I have the weekend to get the mansion back into order," You joke to change the subject, easily sensing Slender's worry. "Worst comes to worst we'll talk to Lucifer. I'm sure he's got a remedy or two."
"I'm beginning to think you like him," Slender teases back, earning a laugh from you.
Over the next two days your nausea doesn't really ease up much, but you're able to keep eating and get the mansion back in order. Everyone did well keeping up with the place despite your absence but it's not perfect. There's definitely a lot for you to do. Part of you keeps cleaning so you don't think about the fact you feel like you're constantly going to be sick. You can't sit down long enough to handle it and rest as you probably should, but it's just easier to avoid it if possible.
"What in the world are you making?" You ask Splendor as you walk into the kitchen, wrinkling your nose.
"I'm making you chicken tacos. You said you keep craving chicken," Splendor explains with a frown. "Does it smell bad? Oh no, I wonder if it went bad?!"
"No!" You cry out in a panic, blushing when Splendor looks at you in surprise. "I don't think it's the chicken. My nose stings, so one of the spices must have gotten to me."
'You do know I'm bad about over seasoning sometimes. Take a bite and tell me what you think," He says offering you a bite of chicken. Crap.
You give him a smile and accept the chicken, feeling the flavors melt on your tongue as you smile. "It tastes amazing as always."
