~~Your Pov~~
"Everyone is sure they'll be okay?" Slender asks for you think is now the fortieth time he's done so.
"We will be just fine brother. Stop stressing. You should stress more about your mate. She's carrying your child you know," Splendor tells Slender with a huff. "She needs her strength."
"I can just do it," Slender mumbles softly, sighing at the glare you shoot him. "Or not."
"I have been cooped up for three weeks. I am starving and beyond bored. I need a good chase," You tell Slender.
"Things will be fine. We've got them," Offender tells his eldest brother. "We can handle a night without the two of you."
"Let's go before I decide to eat you," You huff at Slender, grabbing his hand on your way out the door. "And not in the good way."
"I fear you may actually bite my hand off," Slender admits with a grimace as he follow you out the door.
You lead the way into the forest and just drag Slender along with you for a little while, not really picking up the scent of anything appetizing. You can sense humans about, but none of them catch your attention.
"I really hope this whole not just any human will do is just a symptom of the pregnancy," You grumble out as you and Slender come to a stop.
"None catching your attention huh?" He asks with an amused laugh.
"It's not as if the pickings are slim tonight," You sigh, looking down at your stomach and resting a hand on top of it. "You are picky. Just like your big sister."
"Really? She's never been very picky since I've had her," Slender says, catching you by surprise.
"Really? For the longest time the only thing she was willing to eat was strawberries. I had no idea they made so many things strawberry flavored," You tell him with a laugh. "Thinking back it's a wonder she stayed so healthy some days."
"Maybe I was scary to her when I first met her," Slender groans softly. "Now I wonder if she even likes anything I've made!"
"She probably tried it not to be rude and found she actually liked it. So, she kept eating it," You smile at him. "She's an incredible polite little girl."
"See? You did a good job. She was polite the very first time we met. Even though she just.....went through absolute hell,.... She was still so kind and considerate. Terrified. However, I've never met someone so polite. You're a good mother you know. No, not even that. You're an outstanding mother. Just look at the mansion. I've never seen everyone so happy. You're the piece of the puzzle we didn't know was missing until all the other pieces had been places," Slender tells you.
"I want to do right by all of you," You tell Slender, your voice cracking as tears begin streaming down your cheeks. "I want to be worthy of all your love."
"Y/N," Your name leaves him in a hard breath.
He doesn't say anything else. He pulls you into his arms and you bury your face in his chest as the tears flow free down your cheeks. You clutch Slender tight as you hug him, his suit bunched up into your hands. It feels like you've been doing nothing but crying lately. Even when you're not upset! If something makes you super happy you cry. Frustrated? Here come the tears. It's driving you crazy.
"It's okay to cry you know. We all understand," Slender reminds you as you pull back to look up at him.
"I don't want you guys to worry," You grumble, plopping your head back against his chest.
"And we tell you the same thing. Hypocrite," Slender teases with a laugh. "Ready to hunt again?"
You nod and take his hand, pulling him off in various directions in hopes of finding a human that smells appetizing. Your morning sickness wore off about this point with Sally, but it's stayed on pretty strong so far. You wander for about an hour when a delicious scent hits your senses. Slender keeps level head as you drag him towards where you smell your pray. It's an older man who seems to be burying something. Based on the foul odor from under the dirt you figure it's likely another person. Slender rests a hand on your shoulder as he scouts out the area before finally letting you go to hunt your pray.
