Tick Tock~Tick Tock~the clock sounded.

Amber stared at the clock as she finished reporting the events of her capture to Canary.

"....once I was out, I followed the sounds and arrived to see Blue being flushed out and followed suit to get him. Afterwards the others arrived and picked us up in the bio ship."  Amber said with the dullest look of boredom on her face.

Meanwhile, Canary looked at Amber dumbfounded as she wrapped her mind around Amber's capture. Pinching the bridge of her nose she replied, "So, let me get this straight, you willingly allowed yourself to get captured and studied, and when you were trapped in the room you could have at any time escaped."

Amber tilted her head at Canary with a nonchalant look and with a shrug of her shoulders, "Pretty much."

Canary could feel a vein about to pop as she kept her cool to not blow. It was a wonder how Amber merely brushed aside the fact that she was basically tortured and experimented as though it was just another part of her daily life, so Canary continued to stare dumbfounded.

Amber picked up her confusion and quickly clarified, "I think you are forgetting that I am a trained assassin-spy whose days quite literally consisted of far worse treatment then what the Reach put me through. You have no need to worry. And besides if the team had no plan to rescue the others then I assure I would have gotten them out one way or another."

Now Canary just wanted to slap her forehead so badly at the girl's complete obliviousness to what Canary was actually concerned about. Canary spared a glance at Amber before letting out a sigh. Well it's not like it mattered when it came to Amber, she had no regard for her own safety, especially when it came to helping the team.

Canary let another sigh, letting the matter go, for now. It was best to move on to the next topic.

"What we need to know though is why the Reach wanted you. From what I've gathered from the others they wanted to enhance and weaponize the gene for special abilities, and Blue because of the obvious. But due to you being of a different Earth, I do not think the same applies for you."

Amber thought of Canary's words as she had a point and something Amber had been wandering too. Amber knew that she had to have been different considering the fact that one she was isolated from the others, even though she already had abilities like Impulse and Beast Boy, she was not placed in the same area as them. So it had to mean that the Reach was looking for something else from her. But what?

Amber shrugged, "Your guess is as good as mine as of now. I highly doubt they captured me because they found out I was from another Earth. It might be known among a few members of the team but it's not like the ones who do know have gone around blabbering about it. They could have simply captured me because they took an interest in my abilities and wanted to exploit it, or they saw my powers as a more enhanced and controlled 'meta-gene.' There are many possibilities as to why."

"Yes, but for now it's best you remain careful and cautious." Canary said.

Amber nodded as she was then allowed to leave their session being over with. Amber stood up and headed for the door. On the other side of the door, was La'gaan, Blue, Beast Boy, Impulse and along with five of the rescued teens. The former looked up at Amber as she exited the room. Amber turned to the boy named Tye calling for his attention.

"Tye, you may head in." Tye got up, passing Amber and the rest, entering the room and closing the door with a soft click.

Silence overcame the group as Amber observed each of the teens. Amber turned to her right to where Beast Boy sat, noticing his distressed look. Placing a hand on his shoulder Amber asked, "How are you feeling?"
