Veritaserum Is A Death Sentence To A Death Eater

Luna give 'Alastor Moody' Veritaserum and figures out his secret.

Luna is in the hallways listening to some music on her Walkman, All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You, when Professor Alastor Moody walks up to her. She looks up from her Walkman when she sees the man's feet standing in front of her.

Luna takes off her earphones. "Professor,"

"Luna, your father, he is a Lovegood, too?"

"Yes, Xenophilius Lovegood."

The professor' eyes widen. "Xeno, is your father?"

"Yes," her eyes narrow at him. "Do you think I don't know who you are?"

"What?"

"You're Alastor Moody. You killed my uncle."

"I didn't."

"My mother told me. She doesn't lie."

"That's crazy. Everyone lies."

"My mother doesn't."

"Everyone lies except......Pandora Rosier."

"My mother."

"No, no, there's no way. She never married. She was in love with a Gryffindor. She couldn't have married Xeno."

"She did. Now, will you please get away from me."

"Luna,"

"You killed my uncle."

"I did not kill your uncle! Why would I kill Evan!?"

"I don't know, you tell me."

"Look, I was there when he was killed, but I didn't kill him."

"My mother told me that Alastor Moody killed Uncle Evan, and everyone knows she never lies unless she got some wrong information, but I highly doubt that."

"I knew Evan," he cuts himself off, "Rosier, better than anyone. Probably better than he knew himself."

"No one could know that. Only his close friends. Regulus Black died before the war started, Dorcas Meadowes died by the Dark Lord, and the only other one was Bartemius Crouch Junior. He's the only one who's still alive." Luna' face dawns with realization. "You're Barty."

"No, of course not. He's a Death Eater."

She smiles. "Tell me, who was the Gryffindor my mom was in love with?"

"Who?"

"Drink? No one's drinking out of it."

"Sure, miss Lovegood." Luna hands over her water cup to the Professor.

"Who was the Gryffindor my mom was in love with?"

"Lily Evans." Luna smiles. "You slipped veritaserum in the water."

"Yes, I did." She smiles even wider. "What's your name?"

"Bartemius Crouch Junior. Fuck."
