CHAPTER 3
| exam |~~~
it was the day of the provisional hero licence exam and after many training sessions the class still didn't feel prepared.
a man called mera from the hero public safety commission explained the rules of the first round. everyone had three targets and the first 100 people to hit all three on two other people with their balls passed. easy right?
as the round started, midoriya proposed that the class should stick together as defeating the other classes would be easier in numbers. bakugo decided he wanted to go off on his own, no surprise, followed by kirishima and kaminari. todoroki also went off by himself but he worked best alone anyways.
midoriya nervously watched bakugo leave, hoping that he would be okay and would pass but snapped himself out of his thoughts as he had to focus on himself more.
the class huddled together waiting for the alarm
to blare signalling the exam had started. when it did they were soon surrounded by multiple other classes, of course they would come after us first they already know our quirks! midoriya thought trying to quickly form a plan. we are at a disadvantage as they also know all of our weaknesses, i need to think of a plan. fast.~~~
the alarm blared through the stadium signalling that the first part of the exam was now over and 100 people had passed.
1A excitedly gathered together as the whole class ended up passing but it wasn't over yet.
the big screen turned on showing everyone the stadium which was soon blown to smithereens. gasps could be heard but stopped as meras voice echoed throughout the waiting room telling us that the second part of the exam was a rescue mission.
teamwork was a big part of this part of the exam meaning that all the schools had to work together, some doing better than others.
~~~
as the students worked together in harmony, helping the civilians, aizawa watched his class intensely. an explosion was heard gaining the whole stadiums attention.
gang orca and his henchmen swarmed the stadium. not only did they have to rescue the civilians but also fight off a villain at the same time. this was hard, even for a pro hero. aizawa thought.
he could tell that the commissions had bumped up the difficulty of the exam since all mights retirement, worried like everyone else for the safety of the city. they needed to replace him and fast.
the alarm blared for the last time signalling that all the civilians had been rescued and the exam was finally over.
the students gathered in the stadium after changing back into there uniform impatiently waiting to see if they had gained their hero license.
"everyone, thanks for your hard work in todays exam. now before i announce the results, i should probably explain the way we evaluated you."
mera spoke."between HUC and those of us at the hero's public safety commission, we had a two fold merit system to determine your total score. in other words we are evaluating you on how few mistakes you made in a crisis situation." he explained
"anyway the names of those who passed are listed here in alphabetical order." mera pointed to the screen behind him which now showed the multiple names of those who had gained there hero licenses. "keep my words in mind as you search the screen for your name."
the students scanned the screen worriedly hoping there name was on there. cheers could be heard of the people who passed including all of class 1A...apart from bakugo and todoroki. how did the top two students not pass?
todoroki was contempt with the fact he didn't pass. bakugo not so much...until mera spoke again for the last time confirming that the people who didn't pass could still gain their license with a 3 month program earning satisfied sighs.
