Ema's POV:
I bawled my eyes out as I read the last sentences in The Fault in Our Stars during the plane flight. I sniffled and rubbed my eyes with my long sleeves causing a few eyes to dart over to me. I sighed and closed the book. We where gonna be landing soon and I looked like a hot mess. Story of my life.
It takes a lot of effort to drag 2 luggages and one carry on slumped on your back through an airport at 8 am. I was gonna have to get used to the change of time from California since I felt so alert. I hadn't slept at all during the flight basically binge watching Orange is the New Black and reading The Fault in Our Stars. I took out my camera and started speaking. I couldn't really think and stay focused on what I was saying to the vlog since I was so excited. I was gonna meet someone who represented me as a person highly.
My phone rang in my pocket. I frowned at the loud ring and looked at the callers name. Of course. It was my mom. I took a deep breath before answering.
" What's up, mom?" I asked
" Oh, sweetie! I was scared you wouldn't answer! have you arrived?" She asked. I chuckled lightly.
" Yes, I actually just landed a few minutes ago. How's the other side of the world going?" I asked
" Oh pretty hot here in Cali. What about London?" She asked. I thought about the question.
" Well judging by the fact I just landed, I'm not too sure. I'm still inside the airport about to hail a taxi" I mumbled
" Well, I'll call you tomorrow then. You'll love London. I've already been there 3 times. Every time I went was a new experience. Don't have too much fun. But meet new friends!" My mom yelled into the phone.
"Ok then, I'll call you tomorrow then. Have fun in California" I replied and hung up putting my phone back into my pocket. I got out of the airport and put my thumb out in the air in the edge of the street. There weren't too many cars so their was a good chance of a free taxi for service. Wait, isn't putting your thumb in the air what hitchhikers do? I wanted to facepalm myself. I spot a taxi and waved my free arm in the arm while my other struggled to keep my luggage and bag from falling and exploding clothes everywhere.
" Taxi! taxi man! hey!" I yelled like an idiot. The taxi started moving towards me and I grinned in accomplishment. He got out of the car and took my luggage.
" Will you be putting the other bag in the back, Mrs?" He asked
" I'm good" i smiled at the taxi man and got into the taxi.
"So, where to?" He said with his thick British accent
I smiled to myself. I'd have to get used to the habit of hearing British accents often.

The next day
I woke to a chirp outside, a car honk, and an alarm set off. I opened my eyes and gasped. Where the hell am I? Where is this luxurious room? Have I been kidnapped? I turned over. Oh yeah. I'm in London. In a hotel. I felt a surge of happiness as I got out of bed. I was in the city I've always wanted to visit since I was younger. But now I was gonna live here. I was gonna visit the apartment I'd gotten today.

But I had to move all my boxes. I grunted as I looked through my luggage for my toothbrush. Since it was already nearly 9:30 breakfast had already finished half an hour ago. I frowned at the thought of missing a good English breakfast. Maybe, I'd head out for breakfast at a restaurant before going to check my house. I decided on not wasting my time and moving my luggage's to the house first.

I hailed a taxi and gave him the address. I sighed and leaned my head back. I was feeling homesick. Maybe I should call my mom. No, she'll get worried and babble about things I don't care about. I shook the thoughts out of my head and looked over at the window. I could see the London Eye from afar and gasped. It was so big in real life. Their weren't any colors being displayed since it was the morning. I stared as the taxi parked on the street. I ran down the stairs with my luggage and got in the taxi thankfully without tripping over anything.

You know, the London Eye would be so romantic for a date- I thought. I looked at the taxi driver.

"Has anyone ever gone to the London Eye in a date?" I asked

He chuckled. "Me and my wife had are first date there. It's beautiful. You can see the entire city from there. Are you planning on going on a date there?" he asked.

"Oh, no. I'm actually single but I mean it looks fun so it's definitely on my list of exploring." I explained

"Ah, you're a pretty girl. I'm sure you'll find him soon. Just FYI it's a better experience when your with another person" he replied. I nodded, grinning.

"Maybe" I muttered more to myself then to him.

He chuckled again. After 5 minutes, I arrived at the apartment. I took out my luggage from the back and handed the taxi man his euros.

"Good luck. There's a lot of fish in the sea" he said. I nodded and waved as the taxi sped off into the other street. I went up the stairs struggling to carry the luggage's with me. Before I knew it, my clothes had piled all on the floor. I breathed out a cuss before kneeling down grabbing handfuls and throwing them in.

"You need help?" I heard a very recognizable voice ask me from behind. My eyes widened at the soothing voice that helped me through so much in the past 2 years.

I slowly turned around, jaw gaped open.

"H-hi"
