I walked with Dan and checked my watch. It was nearly 7 now and we hadn't eaten in over 3 hours. I ignored my temptation to want to go get food and walked behind him. I noticed his features as I walked from behind. I mean, I don't mean too, it's just interesting. His dark brown hair flipped over on the side with his fringe across his eyes, his nice jaw, his eyes where so dark unlike my light green ones. They where soft, warm, like chocolate.
"What are you tired of walking?" he blurted
"I'm fine. I have a question."
"Shoot."
"I- well do you believe in love? Not significantly love at first sight but just love simply". I didn't know where I was going with this. Dan stopped in his tracks, flustered.
"Well, I mean I'm not the biggest believer in love at first sight. Looking at someone and just simply knowing their the one makes no sense in my head. But love by itself makes more sense. Getting to know the person and then once you get to know them you realize it. But at times, it doesn't end up like that. Your mind is just fogged in love then fogged in regret that you ever were ever with that person. It's this phase you can learn from so you don't make the same mistake in choosing. But you can get a better hint that you'll get along with that other person when you have the same perks and chemistry. I guess, it's just this thing that you learn in time. I don't understand love fully though. It's so confusing. Just the word itself too-"
I laughed. Dan scowled as we walked.
"What'd you ask the question for?"
I shrugged not really knowing why either. All I know is it came out of my head, randomly.
"Do you think you might have just asked because it came into your head?" Dan asked. I peered at the pavement.
"I think I was just thinking about love so it came into mind"
"But why did it come to mind?"
"I don't know" I admitted. We walked for a few more minutes until we found ourselves getting closer to our destination. It was so pretty.
"Shall we?" Dan smiled. I smiled.
"We shall"
---
"Wait, why isn't there anyone else inside?" I asked as we started to get into the capsule. Dan grinned to himself.
I figured it out shortly after.
"No, wait...Dan-that's n-not possible" I stammered, shocked.
"I got us a private capsule"
My jaw dropped to the ground. I sat down still in shock.
"But why?" I asked
"I don't know better experience I guess" he replied. I took out my camera and snapped a picture of the view.
The view was remarkable. You could see all of London. The lights, buildings, cars, etc. The inside of the capsule glimmered in blue. You could see the Big Ben, the Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace...it was the best. The best part I didn't have to experience it with the public. I had it all to myself. My mouth was still gaped open. The Palace of Westminster looked so big from the capsule. And the long river on the side.
"Dan...th-this is beautiful"
"Yeah...I know" he breathed, not looking at the view.
I could feel his daggers in my back. He wasn't looking at the eye opening view he was looking at me. I pointed my finger to the Palace of Westminster for Dan to see.
