CAPTAIN GEORGE STACY wasn't exactly sure how he ended up in the situation he was in as he made his way up to the roof at Oscorp with his shotgun in hand and a lizard antidote in his pocket.

But he was doing it.

When he made it onto the roof, he found a giant mutant lizard holding up his daughter's boyfriend and strangling him with its tail.

That was not part of his job description.

"Poor Peter Parker." The lizard growled out to the teenage boy in his grasp. "No mother, no father, no uncle. All alone."

That was when Stacy cocked his shotgun and pointed it at the lizard.

"He's not alone." He stated and the lizard turned around, roaring at him.

Stacy shot to the side, hitting the metal tube that contained liquid nitrogen.

Peter caught the tube in his hand and pointed it at the lizard.

The lizard started to freeze up, Peter slipping from its grip, and Stacy started shooting at it.

Bits of the lizard would smash and explode after they were shot at, due to being frozen solid, but it wasn't really slowing the lizard down that much.

It kept roaring and pushing forward.

"Detonation in T-minus 45 seconds."

When the robotic voice echoed around, Peter threw the liquid nitrogen tube away and ran at the lizard, kicking him back and Stacy continued to shoot at it.

"Hey!" Stacy caught Peter's attention and dug into his pocket to grab the antidote. "A gift from the girls."

Peter took the serum from Stacy's hand and just stood there.

"I got this, Peter! Go!" Stacy told him and Peter went running.

He started climbing up the tower to where the dispersion device was in hopes to deactivate it and replace it with the antidote.

"T-minus 30 seconds."

On the ground with Stacy. the liquid nitrogen started to run out and the lizard's body parts that had been shot off were beginning to grow back.

And now when Stacy shot at it, they had no effect on the lizard.

The lizard climbed up to its feet and Stacy was walking backwards, shooting at the lizard who was moving towards him.

The lizard swiped his shotgun away and then dug its claws through his bulletproof vest and into his stomach before tossing him into the ground.

"Detonation in T-minus 10 seconds."

Peter was at the top of the tower now and the lizard was climbing up after him.

"Nine."

Peter looked down at the lizard that was very quickly catching up to him.

"Eight."

Peter looked down at the antidote.

"Seven. Six. Five."

Peter took out the lizard's green serum and switched it for the blue antidote.

"Four."

The lizard leapt from the tower, pushing itself up higher and it reached out for Peter.

"Three. Two."

The lizard grabbed onto Peter's ankle and started pulling him down just after he pressed the button to lock the antidote in.

"One."

And there it went.

The antidote was sent flying into the sky where it exploded and spread all around the city, immediately taking effect on Connor's' body as he fell down, still mostly lizard.

After he fell, the lizard knocked the frozen bottom of the tower Peter was still up on and the tower began to collapse.

Peter jumped off of it and almost fell off of the roof of the large Oscorp building, but was caught by someone as the smaller tower fell off the roof and down to the roads below.

Peter looked up to see Connors grabbing his arm, preventing him from falling for the moment.

But then his arm began to break off. It was part of his lizard body and the antidote was curing it.

Peter started to fall, and Connors caught him with his other arm. His real arm.

Peter was pulled up and they both watched as Connors' fake arm crumbled.

"The Captain." Connors realized and Peter was quick to his feet.

"Captain!" He called out, searching for the man.

He found Captain Stacy lying down, bleeding out with his pistol in hand.

"The lizard." Stacy groaned.

"It's okay. We stopped him." Peter assured him.

"Okay." Stacy sighed.

"Let's get you out of here. Come on." Peter tried to lift him up, but Stacy kept wincing in pain. "Okay, okay, okay. Look at me. You need to stay with me. Help's on the way, okay?"

"You need to..." Stacy started. "You need to be gone when they- when they get here. Okay?"

"I'm not going anywhere." Peter stated.

"I was wrong about you, Peter." Stacy said. "This city needs you. Here."

Stacy handed Peter his mask.

"You're gonna need this." Peter took the mask and Stacy went on. "You're gonna make enemies. People will get hurt. Sometimes the people closest to you. So I want you to promise me something, okay?"

Peter nodded. He had a feeling he knew where this was going.

"Leave Y/N... Leave both my daughters out of it. Promise me that. You promise me."

With tears in his eyes, Peter nodded. Then Captain Stacy's eyes slowly shut and he stopped moving.

"Oh." Peter let out a shaky breath and started to cry.

But he knew he had to leave. So Peter carefully stood up and walked to the edge of the rooftop, mask in hand, looking out at the city before him.
