Brisket - Glen Powell

I was gathering up everything I had of the puppy's since he would be leaving me today to with his new owner. The shelter called, they had him out on the website for only a few days, tons of inquiries but only one seemed very serious.

I was sad to see this little guy go, I would have been the one to adopt him if I knew I would have been able to keep him and continue to foster more dogs to help the shelter out, but I felt like he would be neglected so it was better I just fostered them and then let them go with the owners.

As I walked around the house the puppy followed me everywhere very confused about what was going on.

"Come on buddy stop being adorable." I said leaning over and picking him up. "You get a home today. You get away from me and go to a happy family."

I had no info on who would be adopting him, the shelter was supposed to be sending it over in about an hour and when I could look over the forms. They met with the main person adopting him and said he seemed like a good guy and explained he traveled a lot for work and just wanted a companion.

"It sounds like you are going to be a jet setting dog." I said and the puppy licked the tip of my nose.

I laughed as we sat on the couch together, cuddling and just waiting until the paperwork came through.

After about an hour the paperwork for the owner was sent to me with his information so I had it for my file with the puppy. Also, so I could check name and ID against what the shelter got so I gave him to the right person.

"Glen Powell is your new owner...why does that name sound so familiar?" I asked out loud while looking at the puppy and he barked. "Yeah, I know really familiar..."

I didn't have much more time to think about it, I looked at the time and noticed he would here in a half an hour, so I wanted to get the puppy outside to go potty and everything. As we were finishing up there was a knock on my front door.

I put the puppy in the small pen I had set up from him and then walked to the door. I opened the door and was shocked, I knew where I knew this guy from now.

Movies like Top Gun: Maverick, Anyone But You and was going to be starring I the new movies Twisters which was a sequel to the original from 1996. I loved Glen Powell and loved he was finally coming into his own as a main actor and getting out of supporting roles.

He was standing at my front door just smiling and I realized I was just staring at him.

"Sorry, hi, I'm Felicity." I said extending my hand and he shook it.

"I'm Glen." He said and I nodded as I moved aside and offered him to come into my house.

"And you're here to pick-up the sweet, adorable puppy I have." I said with a small laugh, and he laughed as well.

"I am, I saw him on the website and just couldn't not ask about him." Glen said as we walked into the living room, and he saw him I the small pen. "Oh my god, he is more adorable than the pictures." Glen said and I nodded. He got in the pen and sat down, the puppy rushed right over to him and crawled in his lap, I smiled seeing this.
