"I just need to get ahold of him Teddi." I said as I sat in my car on a call.

"Okay listen Cheyenne you know how this works. You tell me what you need, I call Colter and if he wants to get in touch with you he will call you." Teddi answered.

Colter Shaw was a bounty hunter and was hard to reach. Teddi and Velma were a married couple who help Colter find cases to take. Only this time I had a case I knew he wouldn't want to but he would need to take.

"Teddi, please..." I begged and she sighed.

"Just give her his number. It's not like this is just anyone, it's Cheyenne." Velma said in the background and I smiled.

"Fine I will send you his number but you didn't get it from me." Teddi said.

"Thank you Teddi." I said and we hung up.

Colters number came through quickly and I took a deep breath as I dialed the number in my phone.

"Who is this and how did you get my number?" Colter answered and I just shook my head with a small smile.

"Colter, it's Cheyenne." I said. The line went silent, so silent I made sure I didn't drop the call or that he hung up. "Colter?" I asked.

"How did you get my number Cheyenne?"

"I have my ways. Listen, we need to meet up but you have to come to me." I said. He huffed.

"Cheyenne, I can't just drop everything and coke to you. I don't even know where you are." Colter said.

"I'm in Buffalo, Wyoming." I said. "Please Colter...it's an emergency." I begged. He groaned and I could tell he was going to hate his answer.

"Fine, give me a few days. I'll call you when I'm in town." Colter said and I smiled.

"Thank you." I said.

He hung up and I did the same. I just looked at the hospital bed and the small figure lying in it. Help was coming...hopefully

I was sitting in the hospital room when my cellphone rang.

"Hello?" I answered.

"I'm in town and I'm at your house. Where are you?" Colter asked.

I sighed and looked to the other side of the bed at my dad sitting there looking at the patient in the bed.

"Can you come to Johnson Country hospital?" I asked.

"Hospital? Cheyenne what the hell is going on?!" Colter asked.

"Colter please. Johnson County hospital, floor 5 room 14." I said

"Be there in 10 minutes."

The call disconnected and I could feel the eyes from the other person in the room on me.

"Colter? Colter Shaw? You called him?" My dad, Adam asked.

"I did what I had to do." I said.

"So Colter Shaw is what you had to do?" Adam asked and I sighed ignoring my dad's question.

About 15 minutes later there was a light knock on the open door. I looked back and saw Colter walking in. I stood up and he pulled me into a hug.

"It's so great to see you." Colter said.

"You didn't want to take my call." I chuckled in the hug. We then broke apart, he saw my dad, walked over a shook his hand even though Adam was reluctant.

Colter then looked in the bed and was in shock.

"Cheyenne, who's the kid?" Colter asked and I sighed.

The little girl was 6 years old. She was sleeping, actually in a medically induced coma...it wasn't looking good.

"Colter, that is Isabella Grace Hudson-Shaw, your niece." I said. Colter just looked at me in shock.

"You and Russell?!" Colter asked and I nodded.

"He doesn't know about her though. We had a few nights together 7 years ago and then he was gone before I even knew she existed." I explained.

"And let me guess, he hasn't been able to be reached since..." Colter trailed off and I nodded.

"I didn't want to have to make the call to you about this, I know you and Russell don't really get along. We were all friends once and I just knew I would need your help." I explained.

"Help with what exactly?" Colter asked.

"She needs a kidney transplant. They have tested me and my dad, we aren't a match. I need you to find Russell and get him here to get tested." I explained.

"Cheyenne...I don't know if I can find him. I mean Russell doesn't want to be found."

"I know Colter but he needs to atleast know he has a daughter and I could use his help." I said and Colter sighed.

"Let me see what we can do but before we leave, let me get tested." Colter said and I hugged his as tears filled my eyes.

"Thank you Colter." I said as we hugged.

**COLTER POV**

I got a blood test to see if I matched my nieces blood type and we would know in 24 hours.

I had so many questions for Cheyenne but first things first, find Russell.

I was sitting in my airstream trailer and was tracing Russell's last known whereabouts when my cellphone rang with an unknown number.

"Hello?"

"Why are you looking for me?" Russell's voice answered me.

"Russell, I need you to get to Buffalo, Wyoming."

"Buffalo, Wyoming...I haven't been there in about 10 years..." Russell said.

"Try 7."

Russell was silent for a minutes.

"What do you know that I don't..." Russell questioned.

"Just can you get to Buffalo yes or no?" I asked.

"Yeah, I can...give me 2 days." Russell said and hung up.

Okay step one, Russell was coming. Step two would be breaking the news to him that Russell Shaw is a father and his daughter is sick.
