Sunghoon had been watching over Heeseung one night, hidden in the shadows, as he often did.
Heeseung was outside with his friends, Jay and Niki.
Sunghoon knew them too well, always keeping tabs on Heeseung's circle to ensure his safety.
As Sunghoon watched from his concealed spot, he saw a bigger guy approach Heeseung and his friends.
The man seemed aggressive, picking on them, but his main target was Heeseung.
Heeseung was dressed in a way that apparently provoked the man's ire.
How stupid.Sunghoon's protective instincts kicked in.
Without wasting a second, he emerged from his hiding place and confronted the man.
The confrontation escalated quickly.
Sunghoon moved with lethal precision, every strike meant to neutralize the threat.
He managed to drive the man away, but not without a cost.
As the aggressor fled, Sunghoon staggered back, blood pooling from his nose.
Heeseung and his friends rushed to him, their expressions a mix of worry and gratitude.
Heeseung crouched beside him, his hand trembling as he reached out to check Sunghoon's injuries.
As the boys gathered around Sunghoon, Jay and Niki quickly started to fuss over him, trying to get his nosebleed to stop.
Jay pulled out a handkerchief, while Niki looked around for something to help.
But Sunghoon merely wiped his nose with his sleeve, the crimson stain stark against the fabric.
He raised a hand, silently asking them to stop.
Heeseung stepped forward, his gratitude and curiosity mingling.
"Thank you," he said softly, not knowing who this mysterious protector was.Sunghoon remained silent, knowing that if he spoke, Heeseung would recognize the voice that had haunted him.
Instead, he nodded briefly, avoiding eye contact, and then turned to walk away.
As Sunghoon turned to leave, Heeseung ran after him, catching his hand.
"You can't leave like this," Heeseung said, his voice urgent.
"Let us help you."Sunghoon froze, his heart aching with the overwhelming desire to pull Heeseung into his arms, to hold him close and take him away to a place where only he could see and protect him.
But he knew he couldn't act on those impulses. Not yet.
With a deep breath, Sunghoon reached into his pocket and pulled out a candy.
He placed it gently into Heeseung's hand, his fingers lingering for a moment.
Then, he smiled, a rare, genuine smile that showed his teeth, his handsome face making Heeseung's heart flutter despite the circumstances.
Heeseung stared at the candy and then back at the stranger, his heart racing.
Before he could say anything more, Sunghoon gave a slight nod and turned away, leaving Heeseung with a sense of gratitude and an unsettling confusion.
Sunghoon walked away, his figure blending into the night.
Heeseung looked down at the candy in his hand, recognizing the familiar white chocolate.
His breath caught in his throat, a gasp escaping his lips.
He looked up again, eyes wide, watching the man's retreating figure.
