The next morning, Heeseung woke up with the remnants of the previous night’s happiness still lingering in his heart.

He stretched leisurely, feeling the warmth of the morning sun streaming through his window.

As he lay there, a thought struck him.

He wanted to see Jake again.

Heeseung reached for his phone, a smile forming as he navigated to Jake’s contact and hit the call button.

Jake answered on the third ring, his voice groggy but cheerful.
“Hey, Heeseung,” he said, stifling a yawn. “Good morning.”

“Good morning, Jake,” Heeseung replied, his tone light.
“I was wondering if you’d like to come over. No plans, just...spending time together.”

There was a brief pause on the other end before Jake responded, his voice laced with a hint of shyness.
“I’d love to. What time should I come?”

Heeseung’s smile widened.
“How about noon? We can have lunch together.”

“Sounds perfect,” Jake said, the excitement clear in his voice.
“I’ll see you then.”

As the call ended, Heeseung felt a flutter of anticipation.

He got up, showered, and dressed in comfortable clothes, choosing a soft sweater and jeans.

He tidied up his apartment a bit, wanting everything to be just right for Jake’s visit.

The act of preparing his space was calming, grounding him in the present.

By the time noon approached, Heeseung had whipped up a simple but delicious lunch, pasta with a light tomato sauce, a fresh salad, and garlic bread.

The aroma filled the apartment, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

A knock at the door pulled Heeseung from his thoughts. He opened it to find Jake standing there, dressed in casual jeans and a hoodie, his hands nervously tucked into his pockets.

“Hey,” Jake greeted, a shy smile playing on his lips.

“Hey, come on in,” Heeseung replied, stepping aside to let Jake enter.

Jake looked around the apartment, his eyes taking in the cozy, lived-in space.
“It smells amazing in here.”

Heeseung chuckled.
“I hope you’re hungry.”

They settled at the small dining table, the conversation flowing easily as they ate.

Heeseung found himself watching Jake, noticing the subtle blush that colored his cheeks whenever their eyes met.

There was a shyness to Jake that Heeseung hadn’t seen before, a vulnerability that he found endearing.

After lunch, they moved to the living room, where Heeseung suggested they watch a movie.

As they sat on the couch, Heeseung couldn’t help but smile at the way Jake fidgeted slightly, his nervous energy almost palpable.

“You okay?” Heeseung asked softly, his hand resting lightly on Jake’s.

Jake nodded, his blush deepening. “Yeah, just...I’ve never done this before.”

“Done what?” Heeseung asked, tilting his head in curiosity.

“Been with someone I really like,” Jake admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.

Heeseung’s heart melted at the confession.
