The morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room, illuminating the messy sheets and discarded clothes from the night before.
Heeseung slowly stirred awake, the soreness in his muscles reminding him of just how intense the previous night had been.
He blinked a few times, adjusting to the warm light, and when he shifted slightly, he felt Sunghoon’s arm draped lazily over his waist, holding him close.
A soft smile tugged at Heeseung’s lips as he turned to look at Sunghoon, who was still asleep, his face peaceful and calm in the morning light.
It was rare to see him this relaxed, especially after a night like they’d had.
Sunghoon's dark hair fell messily across his forehead, and Heeseung couldn't resist brushing it away gently, careful not to wake him.
For a few moments, Heeseung simply lay there, savoring the quiet closeness.
His mind drifted back to the night before.
Sunghoon’s whispered words, his tender touch, the way he made Heeseung feel as if the world outside didn’t exist.
But the fleeting peace shattered when Heeseung remembered that Sunghoon wouldn’t be able to spend the day with him.
He had to go to work today.
The thought weighed heavily on Heeseung’s heart, and he snuggled closer to Sunghoon, not ready to let him go just yet.
He closed his eyes, hoping to steal just a little more time before reality set in.
But Sunghoon stirred beside him, waking up with a soft groan.
His arms tightened around Heeseung instinctively before he blinked his eyes open, his sleepy gaze meeting Heeseung’s.
A lazy grin spread across his lips.
“Good morning, beautiful.”
Sunghoon mumbled, his voice husky from sleep.“Morning.”
Heeseung whispered, leaning in to press a soft kiss to Sunghoon’s lips.It was slow, tender, a quiet expression of the emotions still lingering from the night before.
Sunghoon sighed contentedly as he pulled Heeseung closer, savoring the warmth of the kiss before pulling back just enough to rest his forehead against Heeseung’s.
“You okay?”Heeseung nodded but then hesitated, his fingers playing with the hem of the sheets.
“I don’t want you to go to work today.”
He admitted quietly.Sunghoon smiled softly, lifting a hand to cup Heeseung’s cheek.
“I don’t want to go either.”
He confessed, pressing a kiss to the tip of Heeseung’s nose.
“But I’ll be back tonight, okay? And we’ll have the whole night to ourselves again.”Heeseung pouted slightly, not entirely satisfied with the idea of spending the day without Sunghoon.
“It’s not fair..”“I know..”
Sunghoon murmured, his thumb brushing against Heeseung’s cheek soothingly.
“But I’ll make it up to you. Promise.”With a reluctant sigh, Heeseung nodded, his heart heavy.
He wanted to cling to this moment, to this warmth, but reality was creeping in.
Sunghoon sat up slowly, stretching his arms over his head, the muscles in his back flexing as he moved.
He glanced at the clock and let out a small sigh.
“We should get you ready for class. You don’t want to be late.”
