As the soft light of morning filtered through the curtains, Sunghoon lay awake, his gaze fixed on the ceiling.

He hadn’t slept much, his thoughts consumed by Heeseung’s fragile state and the messages he’d exchanged with Hyunjin the night before.

The gentle rise and fall of Heeseung’s chest against him was the only thing that brought him some semblance of calm.

Heeseung stirred beside him, his hand instinctively gripping Sunghoon’s shirt as he shifted in his sleep.

Sunghoon held his breath, hoping Heeseung would stay peaceful just a little longer.

But within moments, Heeseung’s eyes fluttered open, blinking against the early morning light.

"Morning."
Heeseung mumbled, his voice thick with sleep, his hand still gripping Sunghoon’s shirt like it was a lifeline.

"Morning."
Sunghoon whispered, brushing a hand through Heeseung’s tousled hair.

He could see the remnants of last night’s distress in Heeseung’s eyes, but he looked calmer now, at least for the moment.

Heeseung stretched slightly but stayed curled up against Sunghoon, a small yawn escaping his lips.

"Did you sleep okay?"
He asked softly.

Sunghoon hesitated, glancing down at Heeseung.

He wanted to keep things light, to keep Heeseung in this bubble of calm for a little longer, but he knew they needed to talk.

"I didn’t sleep much."
He admitted.
"I was worried about you."

Heeseung blinked, a shadow of guilt crossing his face.

"I’m sorry."
He murmured, his grip on Sunghoon’s shirt loosening slightly.
"I didn’t mean to-"

"No, don’t apologize."
Sunghoon cut in gently, cupping Heeseung’s cheek in his hand.
"I’m not upset, Heeseung. I just..I’m worried about you, about how you’ve been feeling lately."

Heeseung froze, his body tensing at Sunghoon’s words.
He looked away, his gaze fixed on the blanket between them.

"I’m fine."
He muttered, though the waver in his voice betrayed him.

Sunghoon sighed softly, rubbing his thumb gently along Heeseung’s cheek.

"I know you’re trying to be, but I can see it, baby. I can see how much you’ve been struggling."
He paused, choosing his words carefully.
"I think maybe..maybe you’ve been feeling more attached to me lately because of that."

Heeseung’s breath hitched slightly, his grip on Sunghoon tightening again as if afraid he might slip away.

"Attached?"
Heeseung repeated, his voice barely a whisper.
"What do you mean?"

Sunghoon took a deep breath, trying to keep his tone as gentle as possible.

"I talked to someone last night."
He began carefully, watching Heeseung’s reaction.
"Hyunjin. He’s a specialist, and I told him about how you’ve been feeling. He thinks you might be struggling with something called an..attachment disorder."

Heeseung’s eyes widened, fear flickering across his face.

"An attachment disorder?"
His voice trembled, and he tried to pull away slightly, but Sunghoon held him close.

"Hey, hey, it’s okay."
Sunghoon said quickly, wrapping his arms around Heeseung tighter.
"It’s not your fault, Heeseung. And it doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with you. It just means that you’ve been feeling really scared and anxious about losing me, and it’s affecting how you’re coping with everything."
