It was dead of night on the streets of Italy. A woman was frantically screaming through the streets of Venice.

"HELP! HELP!" She screamed.

Tripping over her foot she fell. She got up quickly as she heard the hums echo. She continued to run as she spotted an alleyway where she started to run. Only for her to be at a dead end. She heard the echoes get close before they stopped. She was shivering in fear, looking around. Until she spotted the person. She heard the metal scratching across the cement as the whistle started to get louder.

"PLEASE! PLEASE DON'T DO THIS! I-I HAVE A FAMILY!"

She started to back away as she pleaded to the person only to see the metal weapon being lifted. She screamed before the blunt object hit her in the head. She fell as she looked up at the person. She lifted the metal object once as it smashed right into her head. Over and over until her head cracked open and her brains started to splatter everywhere on the wall.

As the woman was no more. The person only whistled a tune as they walked away with their blunt weapon. The night was over.

"Auroraaaa! Get upppp!" The person who shook the limped tower that was curled up into a ball.

"Aurora! Get up!"

Not getting up, Aurora stayed snuggled up in her blankets before it was ripped away from her. Feeling water being poured down her face she gasps. Shot up, only to look at her roommate. She sent daggers to her roommate.

"Ha-Eun!"

"Hey! You didn't want to wake up so I poured water on you!"

Aurora only groaned as she got up from her now-wet bed. She walked into the shared bedroom as she went to dry her face from the water that was spilled onto her. She started her routine. She washed her face and brushed her teeth. Before taking out her makeup bag and starting to get ready. Once she was done doing her makeup, she combed her hair before putting them into space buns.

After she was done, she walked out of the bathroom and went straight to her closet. Opening her closet door she looked.

"What to wear. Hmm."

After she was done dressing up. She walked out to see her roommate Ha-Eun eating cereal and watching the news. Aurora was listening to the news as she made herself a bowl of cereal.

"The detectives are still looking for the person who brutally murdered the victim Amanda Auburns."

"Police said that she was killed with a blunt object. They haven't found the object and they are still looking for that weapon. Until then, please be on the lookout and lock your doors."

"Stay tuned for more about the case of Amanda Auburns. For anyone who had heard or seen anything from that night. Please call this number here."

Aurora looked at the photo that was shown on the TV. She sat down next to her roommate.

"Another murder?"

"Yeah, this time the victim was brutally smashed."

"God. I wonder who could do such a thing."

"I don't know, but I know for sure, I'm not going out alone."

"Same here."

Aurora and Ha-Eun both headed out for their campus. They both are attending their 2nd year at the University Of Milan, majoring in Psychology. Ha-Eun works at a small cafe while Aurora works at a senior center.

"How was Professor Bianchi? Is he still boring?"

"Ha-Eun, don't get me started. He makes my ears bleed. He is so tough on international students."

"Haha, it can't be that bad. I mean he should be an easy "A". Try to get on his good side. I'll see you back at home. Make sure to call me when you are getting off of work. I love you Aurora!''

"I LOVE YOU TOO MY DEAREST EUN!"

—----------------------------------------------------------------------

"Ouch! What just hit me."

"Hey, sorry about that. I'm working on a science project with my students."

"No worries, ummm, here are your pieces too...I'm guessing a rocket."

"Ah yes, thank you."

"You seem new here."

" My name is Professor Niccolo Gallo. It's my first year teaching. Just got my degree. Trying to blend with other college students so they would treat me equally."

"Good luck to you, it was nice meeting you. Have a good day Professor."

Aurora spent the rest of her afternoon and time at the senior center. She had story time with the elderly and played bingo. As the sunset and night came, Aurora headed out. She waited at a stop for Ha-Eun. Aurora went into the small cafe and waited 1 ½ hours for Ha-Eun.

"Hey Ha-Eun, I'm here at our original spot. Please answer my messages and calls."

In came a text message from Ha-Eun.

"Hey, go ahead and go home without me. I will be working late. I'll be out in an hour."

"You sure, I do not feel comfortable going without you. I can wait longer."

"I love you but gooo, no need to wait."

"Alright, I'll go."

Aurora did not leave, she waited until she would see Ha-Eun pass by. Then 2 hours had passed. No sign of Ha-Eun. Aurora tried reaching her again, but no response. Aurora walked out and headed to the cafe Ha-Eun worked at. There was no sign of Ha-Eun. The manager said Ha-Eun left an hour ago. Aurora got so scared. She walked the usual way home. Right by a corner from the block they usually pass by, she saw a shoe. That shoe belonged to Ha-Eun.
