After the death of Celine, Aurora didn't go to work anymore. She gave her papers to her boss as she wanted to resign. She hasn't spoken to Matheo or Niccolo at all as she hides away from reality. Drake watched from the sidelines as Aurora was getting depressed. Imani didn't know what to do as it left him in shock.
As another hit had it, Imani was in the kitchen sitting with files opened. He massaged his temples as he continued to read.
"You should hit the bed."
Imani looked up to see Drake, leaning on the kitchen door frame. Imani only shook his head as he continued to read through the files.
"Not yet...I can't..I need to help figure out this whole case"
"Imani, you have been stressing yourself lately. I know it's hard but we need to help Aurora out"
Imani sighed before he laid his head on the island table. Drake patted his back before sitting next to him.
"Aurora has been down. We need to help her get back on her feet. If that helps maybe we can bring justice to her friends"
"You're right"
Imani got up from his seat. Drake had also got up from his seat with a smile. Imani looked at him before hugging the male and Drake hugged him back.
"Let's find a way to cheer up Aurora."
"Yeah, let's find a way"
"How about the Faunistic Park Le Cornelle Zoo?"
"The Zoo?"
"Yeah..we can look at all the animals!"
"Alright. We can go there."
"Alright! Let's get ready and go out there!"
Drake was quick on his feet as he ran off to his bedroom, leaving Imani behind. Imani sighed to himself, moving his hand through his hair.
"First we have to convince Aurora...that idiot."
Well, Imani made it his job to convince Aurora while his partner was busy getting himself ready. Imani took long steps toward Aurora's bedroom door. He sensed it was going to be a gloomy woman behind those doors. But it would be one way to cope with the loss of someone.
He stood at the front of Aurora's bedroom door with his hand up midway. He was contemplating whether he should knock or barge in. For a detective, it's kinda funny processing what to do.
'Come on Imani, don't be a bitch. Just knock' He thought to himself.
"Ugh fuck it!"
Imani knocked on the door as he waited for a response. It was quiet on the other end. He decided to knock again but nothing. Now he was getting irritated but he decided to give it one last try. He knocked on the door.
"Aurora-"
Imani was cut off as the wooden door smacked him right in the face. Aurora peeked her head out with her puffy eyes.
"Who..." She looks down "Oh shit..Imani, I'm so sorry, I didn't see.."
"It is fine" No it wasn't, he was seething.
He rubs his nose a little before looking at Aurora.
"Get dressed."
"What..why?"
"We are going to the Zoo."
"But..what if...I don't-"
"You have no choice! I bought tickets!" He sassed
Aurora mumbled under her breath as she dragged her feet away from her door. Imani walked to his room and got dressed. Aurora wore a hoodie and did her make-up nicely. She dragged her feet down the hall. And there sat Drake, he was busy scrolling through his phone until he noticed Aurora. She sat next to Drake with her arms crossed.
"Did...Imani dragged you to go also?"
"Oh, uhh..yeah! I thought it was a good idea too."
"Oh.."
Drake could sense that Aurora wasn't in the mood for it. But he was eager enough to try and get her to be happy. Imani stood behind the couch and coughed to get their attention.
"Alright. Who wants to drive?"
"You should drive, loser."
"With that attitude, I hope you get beaten by a gorilla."
"Rude."
"Not even."
"I'll drive!" Imani and Drake turned their heads to look at the mopey Aurora.
"Hell no"
"You might get us killed."
"Then why ask!?"
"Imani, just drive."
"Fucking hell"
They then left the apartment. Got into Imani's car and Imani drove to the Faunistic Park Le Cornelle Zoo. Imani pushed the stereo and Kendrick Lamar was playing first. The drive was going to be an hour long.
"Hey, Imani. Did I ever tell you I have a younger brother named Kendrick."
"Why am I not surprised.."
"What is that supposed to mean??"
"Well. I assume your parents must've LOVED Aubrey Graham a lot. So.."
"Alright asshole, my parents didn't name me after him!"
"Yeah sure, it's like my family loves drinking soda."
"I was curious about your last name Imani." Aurora chimed in.
"Please, if I had an option...I would've used my mother's last name instead of Soda."
Music was blasted through the car as Imani's eyes were glued to the road. Drake chit-chatted with Aurora. It was slowly bringing Aurora's mood up a little bit. Which made him a little happy.
They finally made it to the Zoo. Imani found a parking spot. Drake and Aurora got out first.
"Wow! I can see all of the animals here!"
"Yeah, some of them I have never seen before."
"Should we go ahead of Imani?"
"Yeah! Let's do that."
Aurora was about to walk ahead yet she didn't notice a car that was driving forward.
"Watch out!"
Drake grabbed Aurora's arm and pulled her in close. Her hair flowed in the air as she looked up to her savior. There she stared straight into his dark brown eyes. She was in a little shock yet she felt her heart beating so fast.
"You should stay on my left, Aurora. You're not looking. What? Why is your face turning red?"
"Oh, it's nothing. It's just the sun" She said while moving strains of her hair behind her ear. The deep blush on her face was very noticeable.
Imani from the distance watched the whole thing go down. He flipped the two off as he clicked the inside of his mouth.
"Get a fucking room!" As he whispered to himself.
Imani grumbled as he walked to the almost non-existent couple.
"Alright lovebirds, let's go see some animals."
"Lo-Lovebirds?" Aurora's face heated up more.
"What are you trying to say, Imani??"
Imani rolled his eyes at the two and walked away.
"I don't have time to be the third wheel in this bitch. I'm going to look at some tigers and men."
Well, the two lovebirds followed Imani anyway. A little after following Imani around for a bit. Drake saw the most beautiful smile on Aurora as they were looking at the hippos. His heart skipped a beat. His heart skipped a beat?
'Am I in love with Aurora?' He thought.
