Amusement Park Interlude (2p! Italy)

(Rewrite) Part Ten

A few weeks had passed since her encounter with Luciano at the shooting range. Ava decided to stop going. She wasn't making much progress anyway, so it's not like it was doing her any good. And if Luciano could find her there, she couldn't go anymore.

Casey got Ava out of their apartment every Sunday. She did her best to pick activities around town that she thought Ava would enjoy since Ava rarely voiced what she wanted to do anymore. Anytime Casey asked, Ava just said she wanted to do what Casey wanted. It was like she had lost interest in everything outside of the things she did inside their apartment.

Ava couldn't help it. Their apartment had always been her fortress, where she felt safe. She could do whatever she wanted while she was inside it. That wasn't the case when she stepped outside. Except for on Sundays. But then she started spending those Sundays with Luciano. Now it was just a painful reminder that those times were gone. Having Casey choose what they did was her way of trying to reassociate her memories of Sundays with fun times with Casey.

Saturday she got a message from Feliciano. It said

"What are you doing right now, bella? I haven't seen you in a while! You really should get out of your apartment...We're worried about you. If you come pick me up, we can go back to my place and do something fun!"

Ava didn't really want to. As much as she loved Feliciano, being with him right now sounded like it was going to take up more mental energy than she had at the moment. But she also felt bad...It was true that it had been some time since she had seen him and the others. She wasn't surprised they were worried about the fact she wasn't leaving her apartment during the week.

She sighed. "Guess I should..."

"Alright. Send me your location and I'll pick you up."

He sent his location almost immediately. She got up, leaving her room. Casey was in the living room, working on homework.

"Hey, I'm going to pick up Feli. He wants to hang out since he hasn't seen me in a while."

"Sounds good," Casey turned to her. "Let me know when you're over at his house. Things have been crazy lately..."

"I will, don't worry," she smiled. "See ya later."

"Yeah, later."

Ava left the apartment, going out to the parking lot to get in her car. She put the address into her GPS without paying much attention to the area it was in. But as she neared it, she realized something was off. It was a part of his territory that was practically abandoned. The buildings were run down, most closed up businesses and abandoned houses. She couldn't understand why Feliciano was in a place like this.

The address looked to be an abandoned house. She parked her car on the street in front of it. Looking at the location he sent her again, she confirmed that this was the place he supposedly was.

She tried calling him, but he didn't answer.

"Guess I'm going inside..."

A small voice inside of her was telling her that something wasn't right...That she should get back in her car and leave. But if Feliciano really was inside, she owed it to him to see. She steeled herself, going into the building. She decided that this was probably some prank he was trying to pull on her with some of the others to have a little fun...

"Feli....?"

She glanced around, a chill running up her spine. She did not like this place one bit. It was giving her the creeps...not to mention, she had this weird sense of dread. She knew it was probably just because this place was making her anxious, but still. She needed to find Feli quickly so they could leave. If this really was just one big joke he and some of the others came up with to scare her, she was going to be pissed...
