"Well, if it isn't Ava~" Luciano's voice came from behind her.

It was Sunday, and she was out with Casey, as usual. It had been a few weeks since her encounter with him in the coffee shop, and they had run into him every week since then. Even if Ava tried to avoid him, he always managed to pull her into a conversation. Sometimes Casey would join in, but she usually tried to stay out of it.

"Well, if it isn't Luciano," Ava mocked.

"Sunday is the only time you will give me the time of day," he ignored it. "I'm pleased we can always run into each other like this."

"It's as if you're always keeping tabs on me to know where I am..."

"And what if I am?" He smirked.

"It would be creepy," she grimaced. "Although that's not surprising, coming from you. You're always hunting me down during fights too."

"I would be happy if you came to me one of these days. Or if you surrendered yourself to me on the battlefield."

"Not a chance," she gave him a cheeky grin.

"It seems I always have to make the first move," he sighed. "Care to join me for coffee?"

This was common too. He would invite her to do something with him, and she would shoot him down with her usual excuse.

"I'm with Casey right now. We already have plans."

It looked like Casey was about to speak up, but Ava sent her a look, telling her not to say anything. Casey had already encouraged her encounters with Luciano from the beginning, but as the weeks went on, she became more vocal about how she thought Luciano truly liked Ava and how she should give him a chance.

He suddenly had a cocky look on his face. "Since you're busy right now, I know the solution to that. I'll make plans in advance. Please allow me to treat you to dinner next Sunday."

Ava was completely baffled. "You...want to...what?"

He was clearly amused. "I'm asking you on a date."

Casey was ready to burst with excitement. No matter how many times Ava had explained how dangerous Luciano was, the situation just didn't sink in...or maybe Casey just didn't care about it. She had it in her head that there was more going on.

"But why?"

"I want to go on a date with you. What other reason do I need?"

"You're up to something..." she muttered. "You would just try to capture me if I said yes."

"Have I ever broken the rules of our day of peace before?" He lifted his hand to his chest, as if her words had truly hurt him. "I have had plenty of opportunities before now, isn't that right?"

He has a point, but still. Going on a date with him? What would Brian, Feli, and the others say? I would be crazy to say yes...Sunday or not, he has ulterior motives. I don't know what they are, so there's no way-

"She'll go!" Casey finally said since Ava was silent.

"Wait, what?!" She exclaimed.

Casey pulled her close, whispering in her ear. "He's asking you on a date. What do you have to lose by going on a single date? It will be Sunday, so he won't be dangerous. Think about this. He always makes it a point to come see you on Sundays. He clearly likes you."

"I don't know...He's up to something..."

Casey sighed, shaking her head. "Either way...You're curious, aren't you?"
