"You're back!" Casey exclaimed, the shock and confusion apparent in her expression when Ava entered their apartment.
"You look surprised," she couldn't help but laugh.
"Well...of course," Casey said as Ava sat down on the couch with her. "It's Monday. I'm not stupid, I know Luciano was trying to kidnap you. When you weren't back after midnight...I figured you weren't coming back at all. Why did he let you go?"
Ava had shared the same feelings as Casey when she was given the option to go home. She could have tried to escape early that morning when she had woken up before Luciano...but she had chosen to go back to sleep. She knew then what the consequences would be, and she had come to terms with it. But Luciano had shocked everyone when they were gathered for breakfast this morning.
That morning as she and Luciano were getting ready to join everyone downstairs, there was a knock on his bedroom door. Before he could say anything, it was pushed open.
"Luci, how long are you going to sleep? I made breakfast for once and here you are-"
Flavio stopped short, staring in surprise. Ava was already dressed, but Luciano was in the process of buttoning up his shirt.
"What have I told you about knocking?" Luciano snapped. "You have no concept of privacy!"
But Flavio was more amused than anything.
"Mi dispiace," he grinned. "I'll see you both downstairs for breakfast, fratello."
"Honestly," Luciano sighed, clearly frustrated. "Bastardo."
"I mean...that could have been worse?" Ava forced herself to chuckle.
Once he finished getting dressed, the two went downstairs for breakfast. It was way too late to have any thoughts of escaping. There was no way she would be able to, even if she tried. The fact she was here on a Monday morning told Flavio and the others all they needed to know about what happened after she left the festival with Luciano. As embarrassing as the interaction would be, she had no choice but to deal with it.
"Look who's here," Kuro was staring at her, a wicked grin on his face.
"Don't look at me like that..." she muttered.
Lutz had been resting his head on the table, but looked up after hearing the exchange.
"Congratulations, boss," he smirked. "Took you long enough."
"Do you think you could have done better?" Luciano glared.
Lutz chuckled, but didn't respond.
"Leave the poor girl alone," Flavio criticized, placing two plates of food on the table for them. "Just ignore them and eat, bella."
"Thank you..."
Even though she was used to the teasing by now, she still didn't love it. The two sat down to eat with everyone. Flavio joined once he was finished passing out plates of food. Ava mostly remained silent as the group discussed the work that needed to get done for the day.
"As much as I love your company, when do you need to be home, ragazza?" Luciano suddenly asked as they were finished eating.
She stared, unable to say anything for a moment as she tried to figure out if her ears were playing tricks on her. But the others were staring at him as well, as surprised by his words as she was.
"Wait...what?" She asked when she finally managed to form words.
"Do you want to stay~?" He whispered in her ear before placing a kiss on her neck.
