"THAT WAS AWESOME!" suki exclaimed excitedly as the boys cleared the stage. the group laughed as they agreed harmoniously. that was the best performance avatar had since all the back to their boiling rock performance.
"they better win or i swear it's rigged." bolin grumbled out. he held his fist up to his face as he uttered, "the triad group that went before them were... well they played music?"
korra laughed, "music? it sounded more like dying lemurs begging for their lives." asami shot her a glare, "that is one way to describe what they did... at least they tried!"
"key word: tried." toph snorted, "i needed those results announced like ten minutes ago."
"the judges still have to deliberate..." katara sighed, "when they ask for the audience's popular vote, we're going to cheer so loud it's going to be heard all the way back to ba sing se."
the group let out another laugh as iknik finally came back out onto the stage after what seemed like forever.
"WELL! THAT WAS SHOW NOW WASN'T IT!?" the audience erupted in agreement, "THE TIME HAS COME FOR YOU GUYS TO LET THE JUDGES NOW WHO WAS YOUR FAVORITE!!"
"WAS IT THE AMAZING DAI LI??!" cheers came from the left side of the crowd, but nothing to be blown away by. "ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT!"
"WAS IT THE AWESOME DRAGONBONE WARRIORS!?" a louder roar came from the audience, a clear difference between the two bands. "OKAYYY! I HEAR YOU!"
"WHAT ABOUT THE TRIAD TRIO?!" not that it was crickets, but the crowd was lacking in the support and cheers that were previously given. "YIKES! THAT'S..."
"AND LASTLY! HOW WE FEEL ABOUT AVATAR!?" the front rows broke out in loud cheers and applause, it rippling down the audience like a wave. the venue lit up in cheers for the group.
"WOAH!! IT SEEMS WE HAVE SOME FAN FAVORITES!? AVATAR OR THE WARRIORS?"
the gaang took this as their chance, starting a chant cheering "avatar, avatar, avatar.." it picked up amongst the crowd and soon the whole audience was saying their name.

"can you guys hear that?" haru muttered quietly. they were all sprawled across the couch beat from the performance they just had. they were waiting to be called back out to stage for the award ceremony.
"no way.. are they... chanting?" zuko questioned as he opened the door to their room. the sound was distant and muffled, but it was there.
"oh my spirits, i think they are." aang responded, shocked by the words that were funneling out of his mouth. it was a surreal moment for all of them, the venue was chanting their name.
