"hey, guys! do you have a minute?" yue exclaimed running up to the group of boys.
"yeah! what's up yue?" haru asked.
"so! as you may know~ i'm the captain of the prom squad this year! and i wanted to know if you guys were open to the idea of playing prom this year? you'll still have time for hanging out and dancing because we have a backup band! just a couple of songs or something!" yue explained while holding up a prom poster.
"uhhh.. i hate to be that guy but when's prom?" sokka asked, rubbing his head.
yue giggled, "silly you! prom isn't until late may and graduation is until mid-june, you still have some time before you make your decision!"
(an: if you need clarification! here it is! aang and ty lee broke up in october, the book started in january. katara & jet broke up in january and all of the couples have gotten together in january. this book has been written over january and febuary and it is now the middle of march! i hope that makes sense!)
the group nodded, "thanks, yue! we'll get back to you as soon as possible!" aang smiled. yue smiled back and ran away to find her group of friends.
"okay, with that new information, we gotta discuss. when's battle of the bands?" haru asked as they walked down the hall trying to find the other half of the group.
"i think it's in april or may.. i'm not sure. i can double-check for you though," zuko shrugged. they all agreed and walked into the empty classroom the girls usually resided in.
"oh hi guys!" katara said as she the boys walked in. she was currently doodling on the whiteboard as suki spun around in a spinny chair and toph sat at the desk on her phone.
"hi baby, you want me to walk you to class?" aang asked, reaching out his hand for katara to grav. capping the marker and grabbing her backpack, she nodded, "yeah, let's go! bye guys!"
"bye you two!" suki exclaimed as the duo walked out.

the gang was chilling inside aang's house after school. katara and aang sat on top of his bed, zuko was teaching suki how to play the acoustic guitar, toph and sokka were messing around with each other, and haru was giggling at his phone.
