3rd pov

Isabella shut herself in her room and locked herself away from the gang when she found out that Dally and Ollie were finally official. She took the news extremely unwell. All the time she spent realizing that Dally was the one for her instead of J.C, went straight to the gutter and into a pool of tears. She had nights where she would throw a pity party for herself, or she would consume herself in her academics, just to avoid her mind of the one thing that she desired. Him.

The only times she would walk out of her room was to grab a bit of food, go to school, use the bathroom, and repeat. That was her daily cycle so far. The gang would try to socialize with her, but it was like their presence to her was invisible.

A knock on the door , no 2 knocks on the door quietly appeared one night while she was studying her brains off.

"Isabella?" a soft voice asked. She knew it was Johnny.

"Hey sweets, open up," another voice said, but this one had a happy tone, so obviously it was Soda.

"I see your light on, so I know you are awake," Soda teased in a funny way

She opened the door and the 2 boys saw the poor, sad girl. She had tear stains running down her cheeks, puffy and red eyes, and unbrushed hair.

Soda immediately wrapped her around her arms and let her cry on his shoulder. Johnny took her from Soda and sat her on her bed. She expressed her feelings to them, and they listened as she sobbed and ranted.

"Oh Isa, he just doesn't see it yet, somewhere down there there's a love for you." Johnny said softly, rubbing her back.

"But who knows now!? His stupid amnesia, and I hate how everytime I want to see my 2 best friends, they're cuddling or sucking each others faces off now!" she cried and Soda gave her another tissue.

"So, all you gotta do is nake him jealous."

"What do you mean? There's no purpose of doing it," she sniffled.

"Ok fine don't make him jealous, then... be yourself but better. Apply to all those colleges we've been getting in the mail. Yes, I know you have been avoiding it, but do it for yourself. Just do it for you." Soda told her. He had a big, comforting smile that was contagious, so Isabella grinned.

"Yeah, don't do it for him, do it for you, you deserve it. He's just being his old usual asshole self, but deep down he cares for you, just doesn't know yet." Johnny beamed.

"i-I love you guys your so nice!" she exclamied with tear still running, but she engulfed them in her arms again.

Flashback Over

"Hi, sorry to bother you guys, is this the Curtis Residence?" A lady cop came to our door with a remorseful look.

"Yes ma'am, how can I help you?" I let her inside the house and soon all of the boys surrounded her with me.

"I'm so terribly sorry to tell you, a friend of yours by the name Jonathan Cade was just rushed to the Emergency Room. The team was called for an emergrncy tonight, and apparently he was stabbed multiple times at the local park."

My breathe was hitched and stuck in my throat. Johnny? STABBED?

"We don't have a lead at the moment, but there were some footprints at the scene of the crime. Investigators are searching right now. Again, I am so terribly sorry," she put her hat back on and walked away. I closed the door and stood in shock.

Pony ran into his shared room and slammed the door, but you can hear his grusome sorrows. Darry went back into the kitchen and rested his arms on the counter, and he slammed his balled fist out of anger and shook his head. Steve and Sodapop were on the couch, resting their heads on their hands as tears ran down. Two-Bit sat down in a chair and put his drink down. Then he suddenly started sobbing.

Nobody and I mean NOBODY should ever go through this much abuse and pain. Poor Johnny. We all loved him because he was the one innocent, pure person we wanted to shield away from the dangers in this world. Sadly he was exposed to early, but it was our mission to protect him and love him.

As for me and Dal, I was standing in the living room, my mind still foggy and shook from the terrible news. Dal had his forehead rested on the door as he mumbled and cursed words under his breath. Suddenly, out of nowhere, my knees buckled, and I broke. I let out a brutal scream that could wake up the whole neighborhood. Everyone looked at me and cried just a bit harder.

The person who came to help me off the floor and gave me a hug was the one and only, Dallas Winston.

I hesitantly wrapped my arms around his neck and hid my face in his chest. He stroked my hair as he cried into the crook of my neck. It felt like the world was ending, help me now.
