December 17th, fourteen twenty, six days later.
The war had started, and it was a mess.
In lieu of agreeing to the terms of the start of the war, the opposing side began dirty, and pillaged several small towns on the outskirts of The Empire.
Luz and Hunter were sent to be in charge of several platoons, sending them off to clear messes and find any injured people and get them to safety. The smell of rotting flesh filled the air all too soon, horses growing anxious as they had not been prepared for such a stench.
Pumpkin rose her head, turning slightly, ears perking. Hunter turned too, gently patting her neck. She exhaled sharply, galloping over and jumping over a charred door. She scrambled to stop, whinnying and nudging the frame of the once happy home.
Hunter slid off her saddle, lowering himself, "Help me out here Pumpkin." He uttered.
She lowered her head, sliding her snout through a hole, Hunter grabbing the rim, the two lifting the frame. A witchlet lied grasping a rattle, a demon shuddering and tiredly gazing at Hunter, gently pulling the witchlet closer to himself. "I bring you no harm, Demon.." Hunter grunted, shoving the frame aside. "Are you alright?"
The demon sighed, tears welling up in his eyes, "Thank Titan for you, Angel of Mine.." He hissed softly. "Bless you, Boy.."
He fell limp, the witchlet flinching and wailing, face reddening with his cries. Hunter whistled, one of his platoons rushing over, three shouldering unconscious witches, two rocking young demons. "One of you run a diagnosis, see if it's okay for travel or if we need to treat him immediately. Someone else, feed the witchlet, it is more hungry than scared."
Pumpkin whinnied, Paco galloping near, slowing to a stop near her, Luz jumping down and rushing to Hunter. "Everything alright?-"
"Yes, we're just assessing him." Hunter handed the wailing witchlet to one of the demons. "Luz, take-"
"Those with the injured, come with me, I'll guide you safely to the tents." Luz stated. "Those with the children, ride my steed and care for them with no worry."
They moved quickly, Paco lowering himself slightly so the two witches could continue to rock the children to sleep. Luz went up ahead, waving her mini squad along and ensuring there were no hostiles around.
The last stretch, Luz stood in the middle of the gap, ushering everyone past, and they ran to the tents hidden among the debris. "Letters!" A postman rose his hands and waved. "Letters have arrived!"
Luz waved the squad along, reaching a nurse who smiled warmly, "Hey, Luz."
"Hello, Opal.." Luz fell to her knees, leaning against her. "Tired?"
"Not yet, you?" Opal pat the mat in front of her. "Lie her here, thank you."
The knight lied the injured witch down, bowing and rushing to see if he recieved a letter. "Exhausted.." Luz muttered. "I've been on my feet for three days.."
"All your fault, I told you there was time to rest." Opal cut the witch's shirt, apologizing to her, despite her being unconscious and unable to hear it.
Luz rose slightly, dragging the curtain across its pole and shielding the trio as Opal began to undress the witch. Luz turned away, Opal feeling the witch's forehead with the back of her hand, rising to her knees and dunking both of her hands in a clean pail of water.
Opal gently pat the witch down with her soaken hands, a sigh of relief escaping the witch. "Fever, I'm assuming?" Luz mumbled.
"Yes, and it's rising." Opal dunked her hands once more, trailing the cool water down the witch's chest and stomach. "It's recent, most likely an infection and her body is trying to fight it. Luz, help me examine her back, there's blood on her shirt but I don't know from where."
Luz too apologized to the unconscious witch as she moved, carefully guiding her to her side, raising her shirt. Opal hummed, shaking her head, "Gently, back down. It's not on this side."
Shuffling, Luz moved to Opal's right, raising the witch, Opal lifting the witch's shirt and examining her. Bruises, but no blood.
They worked quickly to find the wound, searching for cuts in her hair, her neck, her legs and feet, Opal was much ashamed to do so, but checked the witch's behind. There, a large burn was, having been irritated far too much and bleeding, though only slightly.
Luz turned away but kept the witch up slightly so Opal could cleanse and treat the wound. When she was done, Opal lied a blanket over her, and a damp towel was placed over her forehead. The witch sighed, easing into a comfortable rest, Luz rinsing her hands in a separate pail.
"How many children were brought?" Opal stood, cleaning her hands.
"I think five, or maybe six." Luz shook her head. "They arrived in decent health, most likely a bit starved as most of the people they were taken from were men."
"So there were many babies?" Opal slipped past the curtain, covering the cracks in the space when Luz followed her out.
"I'm not sure." Luz perked, walking to the postman. "Noceda?"
He hummed, sliding a letter behind the stack he held, flicking through all the names. "Luz?"
"Yes." She grew excited, shuffling closer.
He pulled out three letters, placing them in Luz's hand, the knight stepping back and going to sit at a nearby house. She lit up, hastily opening the letter,
Dearest Luz,
As I write, it is December 14th, and I still miss you. I have recieved your letters, and have greatly enjoyed the one speaking of your lust.
Luz flushed slightly, she had forgotten about that. Her first day of the fighting had made her miss Amity, and when she had gone to bed that horrible night, she dreamt of Amity in erotic poses. She woke up, startled, and proceeded to write Amity a letter of what she planned to do to her when she returned.
I am eager for your return, and wish to–
Luz squealed, closing the letter quickly and burning red, heart beating rapidly. She calmed herself, taking a hesitant peek, swallowing as she read the letter. She remained red as can be, feeling her heart become mush at the words Amity wrote, soon coming to the end.
Yours and only yours,
Amity.P.S, No armor when we meet, I'd like to be able to numb you as soon as possible with my body. No bed and feast this time either, whoever hears you will hear you. I will make everyone know you aren't meant to be shared. You are only mine, understood?
I love you, Luz. Please return to me safely.
Luz let out a soft whimper, lowering her head and trembling. Such words were able to weaken her immediately, and now she missed Amity even more. 'Damn this war-- I wish to return to be pleasured senseless already-!'
She grumbled softly, carefully sliding the letter in it's envelope, then putting it into her chest plate to hide away later in her belongings. She examined the next letter, from Cheshire.
Luz felt for the flap, finding the bright red wax, and ripped it off, her heart sinking. 'Wait, that said–'
'BOOM!'
Tis, the adventure continues.
