I hated that I couldn't go home.

If it wasn't for Angelica, I would be happy to stay away for the rest of my life. I would've never looked back.

But Angelica is my baby.

She's practically my daughter, I would do anything for her. And I would never let them lay a finger on her.

not like they did to me.

I felt someone shake me awake.

My teacher was there staring down at me. "The bell is about to ring, thought I would give you some time to pack up." she smiled at me. I gave her a small smile in response and rushed to pack up my things.

When I made it outside, Johnny and Ponyboy were out there waiting for me.

Johnny is my best friend. He was the first person I talked to when I first moved to Tulsa. He introduced me to the gang a few weeks later.

"God why do you always have to be the last one out?" Johnny asked me, shaking his head a little.

"Whatever, let's get out of here man I'm starving." Pony chimed in.

We all started to make our way towards the Curtis's, Pony seemed to be ranting about something for the entire walk. But I couldn't focus.

Not when I was dreading going home.

I was always able to fight pretty decently, I wouldn't call myself weak. But I was scared to death of my parents. It wasn't a matter of strength, it was a matter of complete and utter fear. The second I see my parents I freeze. I pray to God that Angie never hears me come in.

We made it to the Curtis house not long after. I could already hear everyone shouting and laughing obnoxiously from inside. I loved the gang, but I was not in the mood to deal with them.

Nobody in the gang really knows my situation, not even Johnny or Darry. They get that me and my parents have a bad relationship, but they don't fully understand what goes on. I think they may realize when they hit me and leave me with bruises and marks, but they don't know the rest.

I opened the door and walked in. Immediately I was lifted off the ground by Two-Bit. "Well what do we have here, you haven't gotten too good for us have ya? I ain't seen you in a forever!"

"I was here a couple days ago, but sorry if I'm not coming around enough." I laughed.

I took a seat on the couch after getting myself a glass of water. It wasn't long before I heard the front door open, revealing Dallas Winston.
