I woke up pretty early, but that's alright since I have a lot to do today.
I went downstairs I saw Leo wearing a nice tight black shirt.
Dang, I didn't know that he could pack so much under all sweatshirts, he built
I sat down on the stool and said " good morning".
I heard him mumble, "good morning" back.
I sighed, and said,"good enough, so you, ready for the journey?".
He nodded, and said, "yeah I guess so".
Loving the energy, Leo, just loving it, I thought.
Rose and Lucas, finally came down stairs.
"Hey, Skylare I think it's best if you and Leo finish off the journey", Lucas told me.
I nodded, and said,"that's ok, you don't want to go against the council".
"Thank you, I can see you being a great leader someday", Lucas smiled.
" I can see your trying to get some brownie points".
He chuckled, and said, "I just want to keep my head, nothing to special".
"Ok, you do that.
"Well, we should get going, I'm ready to find the truth and get this whole mess over with".
It was a thirty minute walk so not bad.
"So", I said, trying to strike up a conversation.
"No, he said. "What, but, I didn't even get to say anything".
"Yes, that's the point, your voice is so annoying, I can't even bear it, so no matter what you say I don't care".
"Gosh I said, "someone woke up, on the wrong side of the bed", I mumbled.
"I told you to stop talking"', then he did one of his signature sighs.
"Leo, I said.
"yes", he sighs.
"I'm never gonna be enough for you, aren't I?"
"Skylare, it's not your fault, we don't get to choose, our fate".
"That's the thing you, we could be unstoppable, if only you let the stupid past go".
"I'm tired of hating on you, I'm tired of this feud with our families.
"Like, why do we have to be pressured, you know?".
"Yeah", he said,"your right.
"What", I said, "I'm right?".
It was quiet again, finally, we got to the church of the outcast.
"EEk, this is it, so what's the plan?".
"Well, I read that whenever you go to one of these, you need to have statues", Leo said.
Then the council will give the blessing to the chosen one, Leo continued.
"Ok, lets go", I was about to leave when Leo pulled me back.
He whispered, "are you crazy, you're the daughter of, Lola and Kane.
"Thanks smarty pants, for telling me who my parents are", I mocked.
He gripped my arm tighter and said,"some only know mark".
"Then why isn't he the chosen one?", I asked.
"The council is a pretty FRICKED up system", he said.
