Alli's POV
They left with quiet footsteps. I still had my hands tied together, and so did Nathan.
I didn't feel like talking. I was too tired. It was getting dark already and I was ready to fall asleep.
"How are you feeling?" I asked Nathan politely and nervously.
"I'm all right. You?"
"You know I'm fine. But your knee, it's-"
"I'm fine. Don't worry about me."
I was cold. Freezing. The ground didn't offer any comfort, rocky with dirt. Maybe the cold would kill any infection to Nathan's knee. Maybe.
I awoke to the sound of the door opening. Nathan and I were both hunched, curled tightly to warm ourselves, which didn't work.
Morgana came to give us water. Actually, one of Morgana's friends.
"Here's some water." he gruffly said and threw two water bottles down. They rolled on the dirt. He turned to leave. He looked back at me and saw my hands were tied.
"Oh, sorry." he came back and untied my hands. "Don't try anything. And untie your boyfriend. I hate to see you two lying there. It's cruel." He also tossed in two granola bars and a blanket.
"I'm sorry. I'm not suppossed to give you this." he repeated and I could see in his his eyes he meant it.
Once he left, I started undoing the knots that held his hands together. Once he was free, he rubbed his wrists.
"Thanks. How'd you sleep?" He asked.
"Honestly, I don't know. I was too cold."
"Me too."
"How is your knee doing?" I asked a little worried.
"It's way better." he said, looking at the scab.
We both started drinking our water thirstily and ate the granola bars. We saved some of our water for the next day in case they didn't give us anymore. Nathan moved his knee and cried in pain. I looked at him, worried. He winced and then silently cursed to himself.
