Chapter 11

 Nathan's POV

i screamed in pain as Alli applied the alcohol. This Nico guy then handed her the bandage. She carefully placed it on my knee and began to wrap it around my leg. Once she was done, I thanked Nico and her for taking care of me.

"Are you better now?" Alli asked.

"Yeah. Thanks. I don't know what I would do without my wonderful girlfriend." Nico cleared his throat. "Oh, and you."

"Oh, and I stole these for you." Nico gave us two cans of soup.

"Thank you so much! I'm starving." I grabbed one labeled veggie and dug in with the spoons Nico gave us.

"NICO!" Morgana yelled.

He frantically hid the medicine under a crate along with the soup.

"I wasn't done!" I exclaimed.

"Where are you, you wretched boy!"

"Coming!" he called and rushed out.

"I thought I told you to fetch my water bottle this morning!" she screamed.

'i did." he replied back.

"Not the pink one! The sparkly one!" she yelled.

I heard a loud sound, like a clap. I think she slapped him.

We didn't have any visitors the rest of the day. The next day, we heard Morgana yelling again.

"Go! Stay with those pathetic worms like you are one yourself!" and Nico trudged down, this time with more food, water, and fresh medicine.

"Um, I think you need fresh air and a bathroom break. There's an outhouse right outside, they would never see you. I will leave the door unlocked to it."

"We can't leave the basement." I pointed out.

"You're not." He pulled away rotted wood, revealing a hallway to the outhouse.

"Why can't you free us then?" I asked him.

"I free you, I am killed. That's how it works. I NEED to stay alive. It's important." he finished.

"Oh. Ok. But we really want to survive this hell." I told him, once again.
