"It's ok. Let's just wash it with water." I unscrewed the water bottle and was about to pour the water on his knee when he stopped my hand, "We need to save the water. What if we're thirsty and they don't give us anymore?" He stated.

"No, we need to heal your leg! Do you want to live or die!" I nearly yelled.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine." he cried out in pain again. "Curse my freakin clumsiness." he said, although not in those exact words.

I compromised. "Fine, how about we save one half of a bottle and I use the other to clean it."

"Fine." he sighed.

I poured the water lightly onto his wound. I heard Nathan scream in pain. "Aghhh!"

"Nathan please. We need to keep on pouring some more."

He grabbed my wrist and started squeezing it. "Nathan! You're hurting me!" i screamed at him in horror. I stopped pouring the water and rubbed my wrist.

He scowled. "I'm sorry but. I think it's already infected. Water won't do anything."

I looked down on his leg. The water had reopened the cut and it looked a sickly shade of green with brown crust forming.

"Nathan! Oh no! I think it's already infected!"

"I told you it was already infected. That was just a waste of water."

"Well I'm sorry, we had to try."

Suddenly, our captors stomped in. There was, of course, Morgana, the man who gave us water, the men who tied us, and a young boy around my age, 19, with tousled black hair and midnight eyes which showed he truly was concerned about us.

"How are you doing? I heard the screams of pain and I loved them." Morgana said in a fake sweet voice.

I balled my fists.

"Just wanted to knwo if you weren't killing yourselves. I wanted to save that for when your friends find you. They'll, well, die!" She cackled and stalked out with her group.

"You!" she pointed at the boy. "Keep watch. If they try, don't kill them. Just knock them unconcious." she informed. He nodded.

When they exited, he waited until their footsteps faded away. He walked to us, his eyes full of pain. Nathan limped in front of me protectively.

"I thought you might want these." the boy said and held out bandages and rubbing alcohol to kill any infection.

"Why should we trust you?!" Nathan nearly screamed.

"Because, I'm a friend, my name's Nico."
