Escaping Destiny: 4th series to "One Chance"

Chapter 21

Nathan's POV

Oh boy, I sensed the tension in the air. There was something, I couldn't name it, going on between my girlfriend and well, my girl.

I decided to take Brittany back home and go with the guys. I needed a break from girls. After awkward goodbyes, we left. Brittany refused to let me go but after promising to get her a gift, she left.

"Where should we go eat lunch?" Jay asked.

All of us chose Olive Garden. After eating lunch and talking about the music, we decided to go back home. I missed Alli, though. It reminded me of her being home with me. But things had changed. I had another girlfriend and Allison must have had another boyfriend. I hope not.

All of a sudden, I heard a knock on the door.

"Nath, can you get the door?" Max yelled from upstairs.

"Yeah."

Once I opened the door, I noticed instantly it was Allison.

"Hey." I said awkwardly. "I need to talk to you." I added.

I saw the pain in her eyes but she said, "Actually I just came here to get my stuff."

I was shocked and heartbroken. "Why?"

"Well, clearly you've moved on and everything seems fine." she snapped.

Tom came to the door with a box labeled 'Allison'.

"Tom!" I scolded.

"Hey, if the lady wants her stuff, then give her her stuff! You can't take more from her. You already took her heart from her!" Tom almost screamed at me.

Alli looked at me, then at Tom. She nodded her head at me and hugged Tom. I couldn't believe this was happening.

"Bye." She left, runninng to her car. 

The band members looked at me ridiculously.

"What?" I asked. They seemed upset.

"You are so stupid!" Max yelled.

"She was the best thing that's ever been yours! After all you've been through!"

"but, Brittney..." I helplessly said.

Jay calmly said, "Brittney is a BEEEEP."

Siva finished, "you just made the worst mistake, even worse than leaving the band."

They left me feeling dumb. They were right.

No, maybe, I don't even know who I am anymore.
