Chapter 14

Nathan's POV

We already got to the car and Allison was next to me in the back trying to comfort me. I wanted to tell her that I loved her back, but I just couldn't. I tried to speak to her, when she said,

"Don't speak Nath. You're gonna feel worse than what you already feel." I had to try.

"But, I I--" she cut me off by gently kissing me. I felt like flying, well with a broken wing. Get it! I then heard Nico say,

"Ok you two lovebirds. We have to get going." I saw Alli blush.

She was so cute when she blushed! We heard car tires screech behind us. "They're following us!" I weakly called to Nico. He cursed under his breath.

Morgana was behind the wheel. She was gaining on us. Nico pressed and accelerated the car, but he was too late. Morgana crashed into the side. Glass sprayed and cut my hand.

"Ahhhh!" Allison screamed. She held me close. "Don't worry Nath."

We ran out of the car, holding my shoulder.

Alli's POV

All of a sudden, we stumbled. Nico helped us up.

"Great, we're cornered on a cliff." he said sarcastically.

"Are you able to jump?" Nico asked. I looked at him ridiculously.

"NO! We have Nathan! He can't swim with his arm like this!" I screamed.

"Right." he replied looking at the rough water below.

I layed Nathan on the ground gently and stroked his cheek. He had a fever, the infection was spreading.

"Well, well. Didn't think would end this way." Morgana taunted. "My, my. An IFA agent right under our noses! I will take pleasure in killing you.!"

Nico glared at her. "Well you know, you're pretty stupid if you never figured it out!" he retorted.

Morgana's face flared with anger. Suddenly, we heard a muffled footstep. Nico turned. At that moment, Morgana threw a dagger at his back.

"No!" screamed a voice. Darting out of the shadows, Chloe tackled him, knocking him to the ground. The dagger flew over the cliff and into the deadly sea below.

"YOU!" Morgana screamed but was interrupted by Chloe.

"are a crazy killer who has mental problems."

Chloe told me to jump, whispering it. I didn't listen.

"Trust me." she said.

"But what about Nath?!"

"Take him with you!"

"But he's hurt! He can't swim!" I whispered.

Morgana narrowed her eyes suspiciously.

"Just GO!" Chloe yelled. and shoved us to the edge. Her and Nico stood to face her.

"NOOO!" Morgana yelled. "YOU!"
