Background: It was the first week of the rookie traject and Jackson, Nolan and Lucy went to their favorite bar to sing some karaoke *please listen "When we were young" from Adele before reading*.
"All ready to go?" Nolan asked Lucy as Jackson and Nolan were waiting outside of the changing rooms "Yeah, where are we going to get dinner?" She asked as she hooked her arm into Jacksons "Please not sushi again" He said and everyone laughed "How about we go and do some karaoke?" Jackson offered " Nah, I'm tired".
Lucy responded "Please, come on you're so good, we'll do one together!" Jackson begged "Yeah, omg you work great together!" Nolan added as he loved it when Lucy sang "Alright but only one song" Lucy replied and they laughed. They all went with Nolan's car. "Okay is everyone ready for our "first week of rookie" dinner?" Angela asked Talia and Tim, it was a thing they did everytime after their rookies first week just to talk trash about them.
"Are we still doing that?" Tim sighed, he hated clubs "doing what?" Grey asked them as he walked by " Our boot trash talk dinner" Talia said proudly "Do you want to join us?" Angela asked " No, I have a wife to get to" He replied "Wait, Luna has book club tonight, what the hell I'll come with" Grey added "Okay, Tim now you have to come with, otherwise were going to talk trash about you" Talia said and smirked.
"Alright fine" Tim replied. They all went home to go change. "Alright, so which bar tonight?" Lucy said as they were driving around "Brass Monkey?" Jackson asked, which was the best karaoke bar in town "Yeah, old time favourite" Nolan said "No, It's always packed in there, i'm not going to do karaoke in there" Lucy replied.
"Come on you have an angels voice Lucy" Jackson said and smiled "No, I ain't doing it" Lucy said "Come on as a celebration that we survived the first week" Nolan said "Fine, but only one song alright" Lucy said "YEAH" Jackson screamed and Lucy laughed. They arrived and had dinner. "Hey Bob, can we get three tequila shots please?" Lucy asked the bartender "Yeah, of course honey, are you with a date or just the old crew?"
He asked her "Just the old crew, we survived the first week of being a police officer so" Lucy said, laughed and Bob handed her the shots "That's nice, please tell me that you're here to do karaoke, i could really use you?" Bob begged as he knew she could sing "Yeah, I'mma do one song with Jackson later tonight, around 8 o'clock so will you please ring us around then?" Lucy replied and Laughed
"Yeah, looking forward to it my love!" Bob finished "Thanks Bob" Lucy replied and walked back to Jackson and Nolan "Alright so which song are we doing tonight?" Jackson asked as Lucy sat down "Idk" Lucy responded and they took the shot "Maybe we'll let the random wheel take it?" Jackson said as the bar had a big spinning wheel with songs on it to sing.
"No, we always get bad ones or ones that are literally impossible" Lucy replied "Yeah, but it's fun" Nolan said and they laughed "Remember, last time we got Adele!" Lucy said and Nolan laughed "And you rocked it!" Nolan replied "Alright we'll do that" Lucy replied and Jackson got them another shot. Tim, Talia, Grey and Angela were all on a call to figure out where to go "We could go to las torres?" Angela said.
"Nah, I don't like their hippie music" Tim spoke "What do you like?!, ehm we could go to Brass Monkey?" Angela said "Ooo, yeah, they have karaoke so we can make fun of people!" Talia said and they all laughed "Yeah, sure let's go there" Tim said and they hung up. They met up at the front of the bar "Alright, ready to go in?" Angela said and they walked in, The rookies sat in front of the bar so they couldn't see them walking in.
"Are you kidding me?!" Talia said as they saw them sitting at the bar "It's fine, they can't hear us if we stay back here" Angela said "No, i'm not doing this Angela we're going to a different bar!" Tim said sternly and Grey laughed "Alright fine" Angela said and stood back up but at that moment they heard Bob on the speaker "OKAY, FIRST ROUND OF KARAOKE IS JACKSON AND LUCY" And they all froze "Wait, what?" Grey said and looked at Lucy and Jackson,
"Shall we" he said and took Lucy's hand, she grinned. "Wait, the boot's are doing karaoke?" Talia said as her mouth shot open "Omg, we need to stay and film this, there is no way that this goes right" Angela said and they sat back down "Now this is going to be fun" Grey said and they all laughed "Tomorrow should be even more fun, blackmailing Chen with the footage" Tim said and Talia grinned
"Okay I bet 10 bucks that Chen not going to do it" Tim said "I'll take you up on that, she looks confident" Grey said "Brave move man, she doesn't even talk to me most of the time" Tim said "yeah but you're the worst" Grey replied and punched him on the arm. "They are so going down tomorrow" Angela said and took out her phone, everyone laughed
"Okay, Jackson and Lucy are going to spin the wheel" Bob said as he took Lucy's hand to go on the podium, lucy stood behind a standing mic and Jackon had a free one, Bob spinned the wheel "OOOO, what's it gonna be?!!!" He said and It eventually landed on "When we were young" from Adele "Oooo, good luck guys" Bob said and walked off stage
"AGAIN?! I'm not doing this one, I want a fun one" Lucy said and looked with puppy eyes at Bob, she knew he had a crush on her "Lucy, you can do this, we are going to rock this" Nolan screamed form the audience "Yeah, bet I Adele, think she'll faint" Tim said and everyone laughed "No but fr, why would they do karaoke?!" Grey said
"Nolan probably forced them or something" Talia said and Angela nodded. "No I'm not doing it Jackson!" Lucy said and Jackson laughed "Yes we are and we're going to have fun okay!" He said and the crowd bawled in excitement whistling and cheering,
Bob started the music, the soft melody filling the room as he dimmed the lights, casting a warm glow that illuminated only Jackson and Lucy. Lucy's presence was magnetic,
her curves accentuated by the tight jeans and tank top she wore, her hair cascading around her with every graceful movement. Lucy shot Bob a playful glare. "Seriously, I'm not doing it," she insisted, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
