Part eight; enough

*next morning during roll call* "Alright everyone, let's begin," Grey said as he glanced up from his desk, scanning the faces of his team. "Where's Officer Chen?" he inquired, directing his gaze towards Nolan and Jackson. "I have no idea, sir," Jackson responded, exchanging a puzzled glance with Nolan. "Did you guys see her in the locker room?" Grey pressed, turning his attention to Talia and Angela.

"Yeah, I saw her. So, why is she late?" Angela confirmed "Alright, go find her," Grey instructed. The training officers and rookies went to look for her. It didn't take long before they spotted her, in the midst of an arrest. Grey stepped out of the roll call room, his voice carrying across the space. "Chen? What happened?" Lucy glanced up, her expression a mix of exhaustion and frustration.

"This happened, so I'm officially done," Lucy replied as she walked up with the guy and pulled his head up by his hair so everyone could see that it was him AGAIN, with blood all over his face and everyone laughed "No, this isn't funny, okay!" Lucy reprimanded firmly. "It is," the guy muttered, earning himself a sharp reprimand as Lucy smacked the back of his head.

"Shut up. Want to lose more teeth?" she retorted, her frustration palpable. "What happened?" Tim inquired as he approached Lucy, concern etched into his features. "Can you seriously not guess?!" Lucy shot back, her frustration evident as she guided the offender into a cell. As they returned to roll call, Lucy took a moment to readjust her bun. "Welcome to roll call, Officer Chen," Grey greeted sarcastically as Lucy and Tim entered, but she offered no response.

"Are you good?" Jackson whispered to her, concern evident in his voice. "Yeah, of course," Lucy replied in a hushed tone. "Do you want to inform us on what just happened?" Grey pressed and Lucy sighed "Ehh, well he came back so I locked him up" Lucy said bluntly "And why is there blood on your face?" Grey asked as he walked a bit closer to her "What?" Lucy asked and wiped some off of her face.

"O this isn't mine" Lucy added "What happened then?" Grey repeated "He didn't want to leave the station and when I tried to arrest him he thought he could fight me, but the only thing he won is a few bucks from the tooth fairy" Lucy added and Grey laughed "Alright, then" Grey added and finished roll call. "Come here" Jackson said as they all stood up and he wiped the remaining blood off of Lucy's face.

"Such a gentleman" Tim pointed out and they both gave her a glare "yeah, bet no one ever said that to you" Lucy replied and Angela and Talia laughed "thank you..Jackson" Lucy replied "boot, don't start!" Tim snapped "you started it okay, so figure it out!" Lucy added and the rookies walked out of the room, Lucy giving Tim one last glare "Good luck riding with an angry boot" Talia said "I'mma need it" Tim said and left.

"Nice start of the day huh?" Tim asked "Don't start, please, I'm really not up for it" Lucy added not looking him in the eye "are you seriously mad at him?" Tim added "No, I'm mad at you, I just want to be left alone and you thought this whole thing was funny" Lucy responded "What?!" Tim responded.

"It wasn't funny okay" Lucy "Alright, I'm sorry I shouldn't have laughed, but you're funny when you're angry" Tim replied and Lucy gave him a push "Not speaking a word to you, ever again" Lucy added and they both laughed.

The end
