Karaoke went wrong

Part four; anger

"Get our gear BOOT and I better not hear another word coming from your mouth today" Tim said looking angry "O, I thought you were going to ask for a show but, no problem sir" Grey looked back at the two arguing "Why are you so mad?!" Tim said "You just embarrassed us in front of the whole station!" she replied and walked out of the room, Nolan and Jackson following her.

"Damn, someone finally stood up to mr. strict'' Angela said and They laughed "Shut up" Tim replied "That girl needs to watch her mouth because I have no problem putting her on desk duty for the rest of the year" Tim replied and looked after her as she got the war bags "Yeah right, lets go" Angela said and Grey grinned.

Chen was already sitting in the driver's seat as Tim got in and they drove away in silence. Jackson and Angela also drove off "what is wrong with officer Chen today?" Angela said as they drove off "What do you think, you guys just embarrassed her in front of the whole station" Jackson replied "What are you talking about, she sang like hell" Angela replied "Yeah but the whole station doesn't have to know, she already has it pretty bad with Bradford and now she's got this on her plate too" Jackson answered.

"Well too bad" Angela replied and Jackson rolled his eyes at her looking out of the window. "How come you didn't do karaoke?" Talia asked Nolan as they also left "I think you know why" Nolan answered and Talia laughed "Yeah I can't sing" he added "Well they can, Jesus Lucy has a voice" Talia said "Yeah, she really does but the aftermath is ruining it for her" Nolan admitted.

"What do you mean?" Talia asked "Well, after she does karaoke guys find her interesting and Lucy just wants to have a beer with friends so it doesn't really go well together" Nolan said "Yeah, she is in a relationship right?" Talia asked (the whole Lucy and Nolan relationship doesn't exist in this story) and Nolan didn't know what to say but thought it would be fun to keep the lie in. "Yeah she is, so yeah it's very annoying when guys come up to her" Nolan said "Yeah, but asking out doesn't hurt anybody right?" Talia asked.

"Yeah, she doesn't have a problem with that but people at the bar are drunk and handsy" Nolan replied and smiled. He texted Jackson and Lucy that they would keep the lie of Lucy dating somebody up. "What happened at the bar?" Angela asked Jackson.

"It always goes the same, like I get it Lucy is hot but she just wants to have a fun time so she said that she wasn't interested in him because she is in a relationship and when we stood up to leave because this was the sixth man, he forced himself into her so she punched him" Jackson said like it was an everyday thing, Angela noticed it "Does that happen like, often?" She asked him.

"Well you saw that she can sing amazing and people just started flirting and trying to make out with her and it kinda ruins it, she used to have a karaoke night to herself in a different bar, it was really great but things got out of hand" Jackson said "So who is this mystery guy she's with?" Angela asked "Yeah, no that is to her and only her" Jackson said and Angela grinned.

"Fair enough, I'll find out" she replied and grinned "I'm sure you will" Jackson replied. They all drove around and it was now lunch time, Nolan and Jackson where already sitting when Lucy arrived "Hey Lucy" Molan said and she sat down "You didn't say anything did you" Jackson asked "Nope had a quiet morning" Lucy said and smiled.

"It's fine I don't want to talk to him anyway" Lucy said "Well you were the hotshot in our shop" Nolan said "Wait what?" Lucy asked surprised "Yeah, why you don't sing, why you punched that guy, who your boyfriend is" Nolan said and Lucy laughed "Yeah, me too Lopez asked me who your and I quote "Mystery" man is" Jackson said and they all laughed.

"Look who decided to eat today" Talia said as Tim sat down next to her "Shut up" he replied and Angela grinned "Well I guess you didn't ask Lucy one question so I'll just spill the gossip" Angela said and Tim gave her a glare "Jackson told me that Chen is in fact in a relationship but he didn't want to tell me who he was" Angela said "Same over here" Talia added "Yeah, and she used to have her own karaoke night" Angela added.

"Well good for her" Tim just simply said "Why are you still grumpy?" Angela said as she gave him a defeated look "She talked back to me this morning?!" Tim said as he looked up from his lunch "No, she answered your questions but you just didn't like the answer" Talia said and Angela laughed. "Let's go BOOT" Tim said "Did I just hear him speak or am I hallucinating?" Lucy said and Jackson grinned "Was that backtalk BOOT?!" He said as he turned around.

"No sir" She said and waved Jackson and Nolan goodbye. After that they all left and had a quiet day, until almost end of shift "Why are you so mad?" Lucy finally asked, breaking the silence "Why do you think?!" Tim replied "I'm sorry but you were the one who embarrassed me today" Lucy answered annoyed "I didn't embarrass you?!" Tim said.

"Yes you did!" Lucy answered "Now I will be known for the singing girl who punches every man that looks at me" Lucy added "No, of course not!" "Tell them that, I get that it is fun to make fun of us but that video was personal" Lucy added "You're making this a way bigger deal than it is" Tim added "No, no i'm not, you were way out of your line to show everyone that, you should've kept it to yourself" Lucy added.

"That's it" Tim said as he raised his voice and he sped to the side of the road. "Get out" He said "what?" Lucy answered "GET OUT AND WALK BACK" He shouted and Lucy got out of the shop and Tim sped off. Tim got back to the station "Where's Chen?" Grey asked as he saw him exit the shop alone "Walking back on her own" Tim said irritatedly "What, she is your responsibility Bradford" Grey said.

"She has legs" Tim responded and went into the locker room. "So almost ready for the day" Jackson said to Angela "Yeah, lets see how the dream team is doing" Angela replied and Laughed, but then Lucy called Jackson "Speak of the dream team" Jackson said and showed Angela the phone "Hey what's up, your on speaker" Jackson said and Angela gave him a look "Yeah, sorry to interrupt but Bradford kind of threw me out of the shop and I need you to come and get me" Lucy said and Jackson and Angela looked at each other.

"Wait what happened?" Jackson asked "He got mad and threw me out" Lucy added "Wait where are you?" Angela asked into the speaker "He dropped me by Creston drive" Lucy responded "That's like eight miles from here" Jackson said "Yeah, which is why I didn't walk, will you please come and pick me up or i'll get the bus" Lucy said and Jackson looked at Angela.

"No, we'll pick you up, see you in 20" She said and they hung up. "What the hell" Angela said and they drove over to Lucy "Thanks" she said as she got in the back of the shop. "Okay, now tell us exactly what happened" Angela said and Lucy explained the situation as they drove back to the station "Alright I'll handle this, if you say anything you're dead" Angela finished as they arrived, they got out and Jackson and Lucy went to change.

"What happened?" Angela said to Tim "What?" he replied "You kicked Lucy out!" Angela added "Yeah and I'm not apologizing Angela" He replied "you can't just drop your boot 8 miles from here because you feel like it" angela said and Tim walked out of the station.

*few weeks later* Captain Andersen and sergeant Grey were leading roll call that day, "Alright let's roll" Captain Andersen said "Get our gear singer songwriter" Tim said and Lucy gave him a glare, it had become her new nickname over the past few weeks "Singer songwriter?" Anderson asked a bit confused and Grey smiled a bit, Lucy turned around and gave Tim a death stare.

"It's just a nickname ma'am" She said and the TO's + rookies stopped walking and looked over "What does it stand for?" Andersen asked curiously but Lucy didn't respond.
