"How can it just not affect you Chen?" Tim said and Lucy turned around "are you sure you want a part of this conversation, I've been my own therapist since birth so don't start" Lucy said "Let's go" Lucy finished and started to walk toward the shop "Lucy!" Jackson said and grabbed her by her arm.
"Jackson just leave me okay, I don't want to do thing i'll regret" Lucy said and Jackson let go of her arm "Officer Chen" captain Andersen said sternly and she turned to face Grey and captain Andersen "Come to my office after patrol" Andersen said "yes ma'am" She said and walked to the shop.
"Well I don't want be on her bad side, jesus" Talia said after Lucy left and Nolan and Jackson just stood there, not knowing what to do "Come on Boot" She added and they walked away "Good Job" Angela said and grinned while Jackson followed her to the shop "What do I do?" Tim said after a few moments of silence "Just drop it for today" Captain Andersen said "And what if she wants to talk about it?" Tim asked.
"Tim, she doesn't want to talk about it, trust me" Grey said laughing a bit "Alright, see you after patrol" Tim said and got into the shop and they drove off in silence. "You need to keep your focus, Chen," Tim said after a few minutes of silence. "I know, I'm sharp," Lucy replied, and they exchanged a brief glance. "I know you're mad, but you need to hold it, otherwise it could get you killed," Tim added.
"I know, I'm not mad, just drop it, please," Lucy said, her tone firm. *at lunch* "Here we go," Lucy said as they exited the shop, and Tim nodded, following her towards the tent. "Lucy, will you please talk to us?" Nolan asked as they settled down. "No, I am not going to talk to you," Lucy replied firmly, sitting down.
"Come on, we want to explain," Jackson insisted. "No, you can't, and if you even want to try, try it at the end of the shift 'cause I won't hear it right now," Lucy snapped, her tone final. "Please?!" Jackson tried one more time but Lucy gave him a death glare "Alright, shutting up," Jackson relented, and the TOs grinned. They ate and finished their shift.
Lucy changed and walked towards Captain Andersen's office, knocking on the door. "Come in," Andersen replied, and Lucy entered. "You wanted to see me, ma'am?" Lucy asked as she walked in. "Yes, please sit down," Andersen gestured, and they both settled in. "What exactly happened today?" Andersen inquired. "I'm sorry, ma'am. I shouldn't have raised my voice at my fellow officers," Lucy admitted. "Thank you, but why didn't you report your assault? It wasn't in your file; otherwise, we would have made a note of it to Officer Bradford," Andersen questioned.
"That is exactly why I didn't report it. It wouldn't have caught the guys, and I would be treated differently at the academy and at the station," Lucy explained. "I already have to prove my worth every day, especially towards Officer Bradford." "I see," Andersen acknowledged with a sigh. "Officer Nolan and West didn't mean it wrong; you need to know that." Andersen added "I know, but it wasn't their place to tell anyone. I'm not mad that it is out; I'm mad that they told," Lucy expressed, and Andersen nodded in understanding.
"Don't let it affect your police work," Andersen said sternly. "Yes, ma'am," Lucy replied. "You're dismissed," Andersen added, and Lucy walked out of the office. As she left, Andersen called after her. "Officer Chen?" "Yes, ma'am?" Lucy turned back. "I'm so sorry for what happened to you. If there's anything we can do?" Andersen offered sympathetically. "Thank you, ma'am, but I've dealt with it in my own way," Lucy responded with a grateful smile before exiting the office.
"How'd it go?" Bradford asked as he caught up with her. "Fine, just the small talk," Lucy replied, smiling. "Officer Chen, someone is at the front for you," the front desk worker informed her. "I swear!" Lucy exclaimed, and Tim frowned. "Thanks, I'll be right there!" Lucy added, sighing. "What's wrong?" Tim asked. "Apparently, Jackson shouted my full name on stage, which, by the way, you filmed!" Lucy said, and Tim grinned.
"And now guys are looking me up, and this is like the 9th guy who has come up to the station to ask me out," Lucy explained, exasperated. "Want a show?" She added, grinning as they walked up to the front desk. "Hey, Lucy, right?" The guy at the front desk asked. "Yeah, that's right," Lucy responded cautiously. "So, I saw you at the bar a few weeks ago, and-" He started, but Lucy interrupted him.
"Okay, I'm sorry, but I'm not interested," Lucy said firmly. "Oh yeah?" He challenged, putting his hands in his pockets. "Well, if you saw me, you must've heard me screaming I'm not single, so," Lucy said pointedly. "Oh, yeah, I'm sorry. Nice to meet you," he said, attempting to save face and extending his hand to Tim. "N-no, I'm not her boyfriend," Tim clarified, and Lucy burst out laughing.
"O, I'm so sorry. Well, I just wanted to give this back to you," he said, handing her a purple bra. Lucy frowned, and Tim looked bewildered yet amused. "I didn't hear that end of your night?" Tim joked "T-That is definitely not mine, sorry," Lucy said, taken aback. "It is. I could never forget you and our evening" he insisted with a smile.
And Tim laughed "I'm sorry, but I've never seen you in my life, and I'm not a whore, so I remember the guys I've hooked up with. So, when would this hook up be?" Lucy asked firmly "After you got out of the bar, remember you went home with me" He added and Tim looked over to Lucy with a perplexed look "No, I did not okay Nolan and Jackson brought me home so quit the lying please and leave" Lucy said turning to leave with Tim, but he grabbed her arm.
"Hey, don't touch me," Lucy warned, pulling her arm away. "I-I'm sorry, okay, not the best intro, but I really like you and-" He tried to explain. "O, you like me now, huh? Me or just my looks? Please, I'm not interested," Lucy stated bluntly.
"I mean you are hot" he said and Tim sighed "No, I'm not doing this, please leave me alone" Lucy responded "how about I take you out, and you can tell me more about yourself?" He persisted. "Okay, I'm going to tell you this one more time: I have a boyfriend, so I am not interested in you or your date," Lucy reiterated, walking off. "Make sure he gets out," Tim instructed the front desk worker, and he nodded.
Tim followed Lucy to the back. "So, purple, huh didn't know you liked that?" Tim teased, and Lucy grinned."Shut up, boyfriend, I did not hook up with him okay" Lucy said, playfully nudging Tim. "Are you sure?" Tim teased " I mean it, I'm not a cheater and Nolan dropped me off at home" Lucy said and Tim grinned "I hate men," Lucy added, feigning seriousness. "Ouch," Tim said, chuckling. "Yeah, it should hurt,"Lucy added with a smirk, and they both laughed.
"Lucy!" Jackson said as he and John caught up with her "Alright see you tomorrow Bradford" Lucy said "See you!" Tim responded and Lucy, Jackson and John sat outside to talk "Alright, talk" Lucy said irritated and Jackson spoke up "okay, we are very sorry and didn't mean to break your trust and we were stupid to tell them" Jackson said "Yeah, you were" Lucy responded "We're really sorry Lucy" Nolan asked.
"Alright, but you need to understand that you can't tell anyone, they look differently at me now" Lucy said "Yeah, I'm so sorry we didn't think twice and that was wrong" Jackson said "Alright then, let's drink" Lucy said and smiled and they left to the bar.
*next day* "I thought purple was your favorite color?" Tim joked as they walked in together "Tim, I swear, don't bring it up again" Lucy said sternly and they both laughed. The whole roll call room was ordered to meet at the back of the station because they were teaming up with the FBI and they wanted to get everyone in position. "Alright everyone listen up" Grey ordered and everyone shut up.
"Alright, we need everyone sharp today" Andersen started "So the burst is going to happen in about an hour so, Team's" She added "Bradford and Chen will be pairing up with Bisschop and Nola-" Andersen added but was interrupted by someone shouting.
