Third Person's Pov
"Good day, Grand Duke James! Hello Prince Josh and Princess Jilliana." Billy greeted the newly arrived James with his twins, a boy and a girl. Married to Princess Vivian, heir to her own Kingdom, Vivian isn't available to come and visit Enchancia with her husband and children.
"Good day Billy, where is Her Majesty the Queen?" James took of his coat and handed it to the maid after he helped his children with their clothes, young as a sapling, Amber and James' children are just a few months apart of age.
"The Queen will be arriving shortly in the afternoon, there's been a small problem on the road. We shall prepare for dinner, the Princess is just around the corner."
"Brilliant! Thanks Billy! Come along now children."
James looked behind him to see his children already gone.
"Oh gosh. Where'd they run off to?"
James just shrugged his shoulder and went to the training ground of the castle.
Meanwhile, the twins, Josh and Jilliana ran off to find their cousin, Shantelle.
"Where do you think she is right now?"
Stopped on their tracks, they looked at the portrait of the three siblings laughing happily.
"I hear Daddy said the other day that they're still looking for her." Jilliana said.
"Isn't she one of Mommy's best friend?" Josh mumbled.
"She is. That's why they're still looking." Jilliana added.
The two sat down in the floor still gazing upon the portrait when footsteps approached them and said.
"Children! What are you two doing there?"
The two looked up and saw their Grammy Miranda with Shantelle holding her hand.
She really looks like Grammy.
The twins thought while they looked back and forth the portrait and their Grandmother.
"Fancy to see you children their looking up at the portrait of your parents..."
Miranda also looked at the portrait and stared at that one figure she still longs for.
The Children, including Shantelle, can tell that she really misses her daughter so much and the pain is still there. They may not know much but they know that she's really an extremely important person to their family.
"Miranda, Children! What are you guys doing there, Amber and the others have arrived."
The silence was broken by a voice of the Previous King, Rolland.
"Grandpa!"
All three children ran up to Roland and hugged their dear grandfather. Miranda chuckled and walked up to her husband.
They once tried but didn't really planned to have a child of their own, they are much more contented to what they have now. Especially their cute little grandchildren now by their side, ease up a hole that was once dug through.
"I saw the Children mesmerized by the portrait Amber hanged in the hallway, they looked just like Amber and James when they were small little children." Miranda chuckled.
"I see.. Well, it's time for dinner and your parents are waiting for you kids at the dining hall." Roland said to the children while tapping each of one's nose making the children giggle.
"Race to the hall!" Josh shouted and the three of them ran off.
The couple laughed at the children's gesture while they walk to through the hall.
Roland slowly caressed Miranda's shoulder and kissed her in the temple.
"I know you're still in pain.. but I'm sure that she's in a happy place now, wherever she may be."
He said.
"I know, but I'm still hoping that there could be another way.. I'm just wishing for her to be free and experience life like Amber and James." She replied.
"I know you mean well, there could still be a chance. But let's not stressed ourselves out, it is not good for your health, Miranda. We all tried our best but we're still not giving up."
Roland stopped to his tracks and caressed Miranda's cheek in which she rested on his palm.
"Lighten up, maybe one day we'll just see her, playing with her nieces and nephew in the hallway. Whether she may still be a child or a woman, she will still be and will always be our daughter."
Miranda smiled and let out a sigh, and continued to their tracks to be welcomed by their family waiting for them.
