Third Person's Pov
"Shantelle please take care of this amulet for me, okay?"
Amber wore the necklace on her little daughter.
"Promise me to take good care of it, okay? Mommy and Daddy will be back in a few days. Don't cause any trouble to Billy okay?"
Four years old Shantelle nodded and held hands with Billy, Baileywick's nephew who is also working as the Royal Castle Steward.
A few days had passed.
"Princess just call me if you need anything. I will only be informing the kitchen for dinner, the Queen and King will be returning this afternoon."
"Yes, Billy!"
Shantelle went off to play in the castle, planning to go to parts of the castle she still hasn't explored.
On her way to the second floor she saw her grandmother in the distance, still beautiful as ever even though with hair with a bit strips of white hair.
"Grammy!"
She shouted across the hallway however she was not heard due to the still far distance, so she just ran up and followed her leading her to a part of the castle she hasn't been.
Whose room is this?
Shantelle thought as she roamed her eyes to the purple colored walls. When she arrived, her grandmother had already left.
Out of curiosity, she slowly entered the room, it was not locked, it was still the same on how it was left thirteen years ago by the person who owned it.
The amulet suddenly glowed blue that caught Shantelle off guard! She curiously looked at it, the amulet in her neck slowly floated and guided her to a part of the room, at the innermost part of the walk in closet that is full of dresses and shoes, under a certain shelf full of hats, there was a small chest.
Shantelle sat down and looked at what the amulet was pointing at before it lost its bluish glow. Shantelle was left confused but she stared at the chest.
"What is this?"
With her tiny hands and little strength, she took the small chest out of the hidden spot. She then slowly opened it to be welcomed by a book. She took the book and slumped it down on the floor and started reading it.
The royal family is always advance with their education so no wonder that even the daughter of Amber can read even with the young age of four.
"This looks like the amulet I'm wearing!"
She excitedly said and read even more about that chapter.
"If this was indestructible, why is it loosing it's color?"
Shantelle asked herself while looking between the book and the amulet itself. The once dark pink colored amulet is starting to loose it's darkish shade, turning it to a more light pink shade.
Then there was a piece of paper slipped between the pages of the book. She took it and softly read it.
"To the one who will find this piece, I hope that you will free the person trapped inside with another simple method. The once tried method cannot be used again. Huh? I don't understand."
Shantelle mumbled confused.
"A key that only the next generation hold."
A key? What kind of key?
