Sofia the First: Forever Royal Reversed

Chapter 4

Amber's Pov

"Let's send a letter to Avalor before we set off, a day or two, since it would be impolite if we just show up there unannounced. Also we will need to be preparing things first." James and I parted ways to our room to start packing our luggages.

A day passes and we all are in the dining hall to eat breakfast, everyone is quiet and the dining hall is just oozing with the noise of our cutlery clashing with the plates. I cleared  my throat that made everyone look at me.

"We plan to go to Avalor, Dad, Mom."

"Avalor? Isn't that too far for you children to go?" Mother said.

"Don't worry Mom, we will be extremely careful about this trip." James replied. "We promise."

Mother didn't say anything and just sighed before nodding.

"I hope that you will, Amber, James."

"Yes Daddy." "Yes Dad."

"I will help you prepare for your departure."

"Yes Dad."

After breakfast, I went up to Sofia's room to look for her animal friends and feed them. I saw the rabbit that Sofia always brought with her, what was it's name? Oh right, Clover. He was napping in one of Sofia's pillow, and he looks kind of skinny. He must be starving and depressed after Sofia had gone.

"Hello." I softly said and the rabbit just slowly opened it's eyes and stared at me, or maybe at the amulet. "Oh, I'm just wearing it for the time being until James and I find a solution to bring Sofia back." I explained to the rabbit though I don't know if it understand me.

"You look quite skinny, Sofia would be mad at me if she saw you like this. You have to eat even though you're depressed." I said and placed a basket full of carrots and different types of fruits. "Let your other friends join too, those two birds and the squirrel. Anyway I got to go, I hope that you won't starve yourself ever again." I said and stood up, I pat his head before turning my back to leave the room.

"Good luck! Thank you!"

Somehow I heard a voice before leaving the room, I turned my head to the bed once again but there was no one there but the rabbit, so I just shrugged it off and left.

After that I returned to my room to finish packing the things that I will be needing for tomorrow's departure. Finishing everything, I left to go to the academy that I signed up for. I will write for an absence of a month and until then, if James and I still haven't find the answer in a month we would have to stop for the meantime since school is about to start.

However, doing so, if Sofia learns that I skipped school she would be furious at me. I know she value everything, so I got to keep it like that. All the things that she have left I will take responsibility for it, for now. Until we find the answer on how we get her out of the amulet. I hope our friends have recovered about the news. I hope that everything would turn out for the better.
