Chapter nine- to the hotel x

Sam's PoV
Before I could continue reaching for anything, Leah had food dye and a bobble ready to go and almost immediately I felt a relief but not even a minute later it got too much and I just burst out crying, I felt so guilty Leah had to leave early because of my problems and we had to pull over because of me but I couldn't find the words to verbalise what i want to say.
'Hey pudding, look at me, it's ok, this is why we left early and I'm gonna be here all the way with you'
I just nodded and felt myself drifting off to sleep.
'Ok let's get you in the car so you can sleep and I'll carry on driving'

Leah's PoV
I got back into the drivers side and Sam had already fallen asleep, so I decided to drive the thirty minutes to the airport and woke her up. She seemed ok but I could tell she was drained so as we walked to the place we were meeting Halle (the England phycologist) I got Sam's headphones out and passed them to her, she already had her sunglasses on and was ready to go.

Sam's PoV
Leah said I don't have to speak today because I can use my cards and she knows it will be difficult so we go to meet halle. Halle was very nice during our meeting and even told me she has autism as well so she understands. I look around and spot a woman in an England top so I tug at Leah's jumper and point to her. Leah tells me that's Halle and we walk over to her, at first I think she's listening to music because she has earplugs in but she kept them in while we spoke to eachother so I assumed they were to stop the noise, she understands AND she doesn't force eye contact.

Leah's PoV
I've noticed Sam is not going to talk anytime soon so I message Halle to let her know and she replies saying that it's fine. As we walk towards her I notice Sam calms down and I'm sure it's because Halle gets her on another level. As we go to the special assistance desk, I can see kiddo become fidgety and ask her if she can explain what's wrong, she gets out her cards and flips to the 'too busy' card.
I get what she means and take her to the special access line. As we approach security we have a staff member pull us over and ask what are some things we would like to try and  avoid or what upsets her, so we explain everything in slight detail and Halle hands in a letter about both conditions. He soon gets a female member of staff and she uses the hand scanner so she can keep her headphones and sunglasses on, which helped Sammy greatly, however when she had to hand her carry on bag over she struggled with handing her bear over but I gave her my matching one until hers was back. After security we sat down and Sam just buried herself into me, clearly already overwhelmed so Halle showed her the quiet space and we waited in there until the plane arrived. Luckily the plane ride went pretty simple as Sam fell asleep almost immediately and the airport at the other side was just stamping our passports.

Sammys pov
We got a car to the hotel and me and Leah went straight to our room and saw we were rooming with Beth, which is very good. However, I did go straight to sleep as I had already dealt with enough today and it was 7pm.

Leah's PoV
It was 7pm and Sammy was exhausted so we opted for a night in and she went straight to sleep while I watched past matches and did analysis. It got to 9.30pm and I decided to get changed when Beth came in and promised to watch Sammy while I got ready. I came back after getting ready for bed and went to sleep as I had had a very long day. Beth, much to my appeal, decided to have an early night today as well.
