He came to me in a dream
His voice, a strident tone commanding me to rise from my slumber
Who is this that calls to me? A hallucination perhaps?
No, I felt the touch of another being on my back
"Listen" he says to me, commanding rather than asking
"I am the embodiment of wrath and anger that once lived in you,
extracted the moment that you lost control over your energy"
All I could do in that moment was remain silent
I may be known to be outspoken, but I knew where I stood against him
Suddenly before me there were two smaller entities
They held out a contract, one that was already tainted with my blood
"Surrender your life to me and I will soon reveal myself to you,
allow me to possess your mind and body and we can live as one"
As one? How can two separate people live as one?
"I am just another version of you that was outcasted for selfish reasons"
"Those around you have made a mockery of you, the equivalent
of disobeying Odin and spilling his blood"
"Join with me and we can show them that we are not a force to be reckoned with"
"I accept"
It took little to no convincing as all I ever wanted was to be treated as the most high
The entity sat with me for some time and eventually revealed his name
Kage
This is it, the perfect being
The perfect embodiment of irreverence and pure rage
I accept him as myself, death to the one who was once called Camryn
The world shall know me as Kage
And so the deity was born and the written word shall say
"His name is Kage. Because they didn't understand him, they cast him out, pointed at
Him, and called out 'Witch, witch, witch"
Let all of His Majesty's demons prevail
