you're pretty sure you broke up on good terms — it would be okay if you went back over to his place, right?

that's what you contemplated as you did your makeup. a friend of yours set you up with some guy who you were going on a date with tonight.

despite having broken up with minho for almost a year, you hadn't even considered getting into a new relationship. it was harsh for the both of you, but you decided to break up for the better after nearly almost three years of dating to focus on yourself and your studies more, as well as to explore job opportunities. and despite having landed a job that didn't require you to move, you decided it would be too complicated now that you were already broken up, and you did your best to prioritize your personal growth.

it was tough, having to get back on your feet without the support of a partner. the breakup might have broken you, but you did your best and managed to finish your last year of college with passing marks. after all, you're the one who decided to do this.

and despite your history, you did your best to remain somewhat "friends" with him. because even after your breakup, you didn't hate him, not at all. you knew it was a "you" problem and that it had nothing to do with him.

you now worked a stable job that provided you with enough money to pay off the bills with a little extra cash to treat yourself with, like the new dress you got for tonight's date.

minho has been working as the head ceo for his father's company for around two to three years, constantly stuck in meetings and calls.

that's why, you were hoping your luck was good enough for him to be home today. and remembering his old schedule, he most probably was.

lee know never really experimented much with relationships. he only ever dated two girls before you, but those girlfriends barely lasted a month after he found put they both dated him just for his money. but you? you weren't like that. you were true. you liked him for him and not his money or business position.

he was heartbroken when you had to let go of your relationship, but he understood. yet not a day has passed when he hasn't thought about you, hoping that you could come back to him and work something out.

your relationship was so special to him, so special that he didn't even think about getting into another relationship and simply focused on his work.

"yes, i'll just drop off the papers tomorrow, but i need them filled out by next week" minho ran a hand through his dark red hair as he talked on the phone with one of his co-workers, continuing his conversation while walking over to the door after hearing the doorbell ring.

he stops mid-sentence as he opens the door, seeing you on the other side of it. you were all dressed up in a nice outfit with your makeup done. you were definitely going on a date, is what he thought.

"hey, jungwon, i'll have to call you back" minho hangs up the phone without looking away from you, plastering a soft look. "hey..."
