----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Andre would stop by the shop but you and Hercules would ignore him. He would just wait, his eyes giving you a longing look. Today you would finally see him, "Major, your next." you guide him to stand. "My sleave needs adjustment." he then spoke into your ear. "I am sorry. Truly."

"I am quite sure you are." you begin to fix his sleaves. "Miss Mulligan, please. Just talk to me."

You sigh and look him up and down, then back up. You continue on his sleave. "What is the name of the Lieutenant?" you ask as you began his stitching. "Lieutenant James Weswood." he whispers. You turn to see the Lieutenant, himself, waiting for his turn, looking at fabrics you had on display. "Him?" you sigh. "Why?"

"There are rumors he leans towards the continental side, I want you to find out if that is true or not. If he is not, maybe get him to switch to confirm rumor and have him spy for me?" you finish his adjustment. "Done." you look into his eyes, "Have a good day, Major." you walk away. "Lieutenant, you're next."

Over the next few days, you found it was quite easy to get the Lieutenant close to you, you found he liked you, a lot. He had for a while. Maybe Andre knew this and that is why he got close to you and asked you to do this little spy mission for him. Tonight you would go to Andre's home to give a report on how things were going with the Lieutenant.

"[y/n]." he let you inside and lead you to the dinning room. "It is good to see you."

"I am here to inform and inform alone." He saw you were still upset, offended by his inquiries. "[y/n], I would never intend to use you in such a way....or put you through what I did with Miss Cher." He held took your hands, uncrossing your arms, "My mind has taken such a liking to you that it overwhelms me. You are my equal, in so many ways."

"You won't make me make a fool of myself on or in his arms?" you let loose and fall into Andre's arms. "No, I pray not. You only need be a fool in my arms, or more accurately, I be a fool in yours."

"Why do you wish to turn him?"

"There are rumors he leans more on the continental side because he once held a friendship with a Benjamin Tallmadge when they were in college together. Now Major Tallmadge is close to General Washington-" your heart stopped. "Very close. I hope that in getting Lieutenant Weswood to turn, he will get close to the Major, and thus the General."

"Right." you mumble. "Major Tallmadge deals in his own spy work. I also hope, the turned Lieutenant would inform us of such spies and spy work."

"It is a great plan." you sit down on a nearby chair. Andre tilts his head, curiously. "Something worries you. What is it?" you couldn't tell him the truth, about your father, ask what he intended in turning Weswood to get close to your father, surely he did not mean death? "Why have me in the picture? Why not talk to the Lieutenant yourself?"

"Because he is infatuated with you, and I know he will value what you have to say, he will turn spy for you, and thus for me. Or you can convince him to turn for your own reasons, and you report to me in secret, he need not know I am involved." You wanted to say no, to stop this, but now this was to make sure your father would be okay. You would be close with Andre, but that meant you had to be close to another man too. "Okay, sounds like a plan." you hold each other. "My mind still likes you."
