You missed your home back in Philadelphia, you missed the people and everything around you, and your old childhood best friend would be welcoming you back.
Miss Peggy Shippen.
You sat in the coach and looked out to see the grand Philadelphia home, the Shippen home. You stepped out the coach and looked to see Peggy running out the mansion home towards you. She hugged you tightly, her soft face on yours. "I am so happy you have returned to Philadelphia." She pulls back and looks at you, and you at her, so...beautiful. "I am so glad to see you again. Come, Becky and the others wish to see you."
"Gladly, I am too, happy to be back in Philadelphia and here with you again." Peggy takes you by the hand and you two walk inside.
"Becky." You cheer and hug her quickly. "Glad to see you."
"And you." She smiles. "So, is your handsome cousin still available?" She teases you.
"Afraid not, he had found a woman in New York, but my other cousin in available."
"The other handsome one?"
"Yes dear Becky, yes." You smile, you turn to see father Shippen. "Father." You hugged him.
"Thank you for letting me stay here."
"Oh, it's no problem dear, you are like a daughter to me and a sister to my children." He turned to Peggy. "Peggy, show Miss [y/n] to her room."
"Gladly, father."
You followed Peggy to what would be your room, it was lively and so lovely, beautiful. "Peggy, it's beautiful."
"I'm so glad you like it, I remember you love the color [y/f/c]."
"Peggy, you are so caring." You smile at her. You found you were always smiling softly whenever you looked at her, she gave you a light happy feeling inside you.
You loved spending time with her, reading, sketching, painting, waking in the garden. You loved every moment with her.
Then she began seeing a man named John Andrí, he was handsome, you found that you disliked him but didn't know why, he was a good guy, very likable.
Peggy left to visit John Andrí, you and Becky began the walk to the garden and opened up a sketch book. "[Y/N]? Can I tell you something?"
"Absolutely, What is it Becky?"
"Do you ever get a feeling? That feeling? Around a man?"
"Fear?" You joke.
"No, like, lightness in your chest, in your heart."
"No. Is that normal?"
"Father calls it love, he said he felt such lightness in himself around mother, we would catch himself smiling around her. I feel like that around..." Becky continued on, you began to think, do you love, Peggy? Peggy, you feel that feeling, you smile always at her, around her."
"Do you think he likes me back?"
"Your cousin? Yes, I see him smile all the time." You say as Becky's face lights up. Peggy enters the garden. "[Y/N], might I speak to you? Alone?"
"Yes, excuse me, Becky." You leave and walk with Peggy.
"You know I have been seeing, John."
"Yes, and might I ask, do you get any, feelings around him? Like, lightness in your chest?"
"Not really, I actually feel that more around you. Why do you ask?"
"Just curious. So, what did you and John discus?" Peggy grabs your hand.
"A special mission, I am to get acquainted with an old friend, but I need help, I can't do this alone. I hope you can help me and Andrí."
You smile and hold both her hands. "Yes, of course, anything for you. Peggy." You feel the softness of her hands. You look at them, then to her beautiful, happy face.
"Peggy." You let go of her hands. "It is getting rather cold, your hands were freezing, let us go inside, the fire will keep us warm."
You and Peggy walk inside, you go to the closet and retrieve a blanket it for her, you come back to see her sleeping on the large couch. You put the blanket over her and she smiles, you go to walk away when she grabs your hand.
"[y/n], I'm still cold. Stay with me, keep me warm. "Of course." You get under the blanket with her.
Peggy scoots closer to you and smiles. You sit up, above her.
"Peggy." You smiled, hovering above her. Her eyes open, looking at you sparkling, you get lost in her eyes, her luscious lips.
You resist the urge to lean down, and kiss her sweetly. Then, she leans us and kisses you. You pull away. "Peggy." You hold her face in your hands. You can't ignore the lightness inside you. "I love you."
She smiles back at you. "I love you too."
You two fall asleep in each other's arms.

A year passes, and she is to be married to a Benedict Arnold, it's obvious John Andrí to loves her, but not as much as you. You and Peggy have a plan, on the day of the wedding, Peggy will go 'missing' she will run to the woods and the next day you will join her.

You help Peggy into the woods, the plan works.
You and Peggy find a small cottage in the woods in (favorite of OG states). You and Peggy call each other, wife, you grow old together and nobody knew, not ever.
She is old, but she is still beautiful, brave, smart, and makes you happy inside. "I love you, Peggy."
"I love you too."
